Be very careful if you ever decide to go to this hospital! The emergency room physicians are not very competent. I was having really bad abdominal pain and went into the emergency room. The attending physician was a fill-in ( his name was Hector); he was rude and did not seem experienced. Furthermore, he could not figure out what was wrong with me. They did all kinds of unnecessary tests, including a CT scan. I went into the emergency room at around 9AM. After a few hours of tests which were all inconclusive, the same doctor came back in the room and accused me of having some kind of social disease without having any positive test results; I was so offended. He then left the room and I never saw him again. Nobody told me that his shift was over, so I just sat in the examining room for hours and hours. Finally at around 6PM a different doctor came in and told me that I was going to be admitted for surgery. I asked what the surgery was for, and he did not know. I had to wait several more hours for the surgeon to come in and was told that they needed to open me up to figure out what the problem was. They also said they were going to take out my appendix. The surgery was over in 15minutes. The cause of my pain? A ruptured ovarian cyst. It is hard for me to believe that they could not determine such a simple problem, since many young women develop this. I also realized later that surgery was completely unnecessary for a ruptured cyst. I could have been discharged that day if it had not been for the incompetent physician giving me the run around, even with the surgery. Because the surgery was over at around 9PM, I had to stay overnight in the hospital. The only positive aspect of this whole experience was that the nurses were really nice and attentive. Still, I would never go back to that hospital seeing how incompetent they were. I also spoke with a neighbor who told me that they do not do hearing tests for newborns, which I thought was routine at all hospitals. I don't think I would want to risk having a baby there.
