Businiess name:  Home Rule
Review by:  MarK M.
Review content:
Though still widely taught, the old legal saw that the phrase "rule of thumb" referred to the thickness of a branch with which a husband could beat his wife is simply not true. Why does this myth continue? I'll leave that for you to decide. More appropriate for this forum, though, is that Home Rule is more than just one more of the bed-bath-present-knickknack shop of the sort that have popped up on 14th St. below U (evidently because people moving in to the neighborhood have lots of new space to fill). What distinguishes Home Rule is the quality of their items and the variety -- they pack a lot into a small space. Bed Bath and Beyond they're not, but their items are well-chosen and they are very helpful. No portion of their sales support DC's bid for self governence, though, if that's what you're thinking.
