It seems like I've done business a lot with Art Van lately. I recently bought a loft bed for my daughter and a sectional couch for my living room. Buying the bed went quite smoothly but when I bought the couch from the clearance section, the salesman was very rude about the sale when I told him that I wished to finance it. You're going to finance $500, he asked me. He didn't seem interested in helping me after that and I ended up asking for another salesman to finish the sale with.
As far as the furniture is concerned, their furniture SEEMS to be mostly quality items and I've already picked out a chair I plan to buy to go with the couch I bought just 3 months ago, which is already ripping along the seem. Hmmmm.
And, as far as price is concerned, well, that just depends. I've found that you can talk them down a bit on the price but shopping around is the key. I found a bedroom set that I wanted for my son about 2 years ago which The Baby's Room in Taylor was able to beat by over $1,000! Guess who I gave my business to?!
In short, I'm torn. I've had good experiences at Art Van but also some very not so good experiences. Be leery.
