We started going to Mashiko back in the olden days when we could saunter in any old time & get a seat at the sushi bar. We quickly became addicted to Hajime's excellent fish, fun creations, and offbeat sense of humor.
I've eaten at nearly every sushi place in town and Mashiko puts them all to shame. (Nishino? Mashiko is so much more fun! Toyodo? Not even a contender!)
The line is usually out the door on weekends. The service seems to always be a little space-cadety. But you can't beat it for great sushi and fun atmosphere.
