A wonderful independent bookstore. Wonderful used section downstairs, although the used prices have been creeping up over the years. One of the best discounted new books sections down there and upstairs near the stairwell. A very intellectual selection of remainders -- browse with the professors.
Nice staff recommendations. Frequent Buyer card gives you 20% off a purchase after you spend $200 or so.
Very pleasant atmosphere. Fun to browse. Carpeted with nice music. Stay for hours -- places to sit. No cafe, but filled with books.
Probably the best selction of scholarly books in Boston.
