We rent our costumes for the Ren Faire here every year. She has a wonderful selection of costumes and magic items. She does rentals and sales. Has Santa, animals, 70's, bunnies, character, Renaissance, roman soldiers, cleopatra, make up accessories, wigs, you name it. She's given us some really good deals since we are there all the time (well at least once a year!) Get there early (at least 3-4 weeks) before you need your costume. She's really busy and sells out quick especially around halloween and the Ren faire...

When my little Pookie Babbette needs a shot or a checkup, we head to James Landing to get her worked on. The staff is friendly and helpful and she seems to like everyone. They all comment that she smells wonderful with her Giorgio Armani people perfume and she smiles and revels in all the attention. The prices are good and there is usually a very little wait.

I give the Greensboro Symphony a 5 star rating because they are excellent. They have approximately 10 concerts a year (I’m not sure if the current concert schedule has been posted yet as the season has not started). There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Tickets prices range from $20 to $30 dollars a seat. The parking isn’t always the best in this area but there are a few parking decks to be found. I would recommend you going at least once for the experience.

Our dog Bubba was a good little guy. He passed on not too long ago, but when he was alive he went to the Friendly Animal Clinic on Guilford College. I cannot say he really liked it there, as all dogs HATE the vet but we liked the friendly attitudes and fast service. He got his shots, flea dips, and boarding overnight with care and good prices. The people there made sure to call us by name and even called Bubba by his. They made us feel welcome and we felt safe leavig Bubba there...even if he was not happy about it.

Edu-Play has a wonderful selection of teacher materials. I love the layout of their store -- it makes it easy to find what you are looking for. The amount of teacher resource books is extensive. They offer a children's play table to entertain your child while you shop. They have a good selection of Christian materials for Sunday School teachers. Prices are par for teacher stores. Staff is wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable about their merchandise. Parking is more than plentiful. If you are a teacher.... go there today!

We love North Elm Animal Hospital in Greensboro, located at 3626 North Elm Street, not far from the Pisgah Church Road intersection. Claudia Sims, our primary vet, is thorough and loving to our dog. We know that our pet is getting the best possible care.
The office staff is also very nice. Everyone seems to enjoy being there, which is great!
Their prices seem in line with most vet clinics around, and you can usually get an appointment in a timely manner.
Our dog does not like staying in the kennel overnight, however, so I can't really recommend that. The phone number is 336-545-3400. good luck!

The Target one hour photo used to be the only place I would go to get my pictures developed. Since I switched to digital...and moved away I rarely visit this Target anymore. Their one hour photo was always stellar, and they did a good job even on my digitals when I took them there. the staff here is always super pleasant and they go really great developing work.

Lake Jeanette Cleaners does an outstanding job on dry cleaning and with alterations. They are a bit more expensive than the average dry cleaners, but if you have an expensive piece of clothing or if money is no object, I would highly recommend trying Lake Jeanette Cleaners.

If you are in the market for a suit that you don't anticipate wearing very often, then The Men's Wearhouse is the place to shop! They have a very nice selection of men's suits, ties, dress shirts, overcoats, shoes, socks, and casual wear. The only potential drawback would be if you are hard on your dress clothes. If you have plenty of suits to rotate through each week, or if you just wear them to church on Sunday, then you can't go wrong at the Men's Wearhouse.
