The Natural Science Center is the best-kept secret in Greensboro! With many rooms full of exhibits and three nice-sized play areas indoors, this is the perfect place when the weather keeps us inside. And they are in the middle of a multi-million dollar renovation outside that will be incredible when they finish! The minimal amount they charge for a year-long family membership is worth every penny and more!

Great fun for adults and children. They have go carts, and bumper boats. The bumper boats were a big hit with my son! Miniature golf, snacks, drinks, games. A lot of fun! You'll have a great time here. It's cheaper to get the day pass rather than to get tickets for individual things, but the day passes are a little on the high side. Other than that, great place to spend a day!

Our senior group has gone to the Barn Dinner theater before and it was very nice. They give you a full meal while a play goes on in the middle. They try to have you finish eating first, then watch the play. That way the actors are not disturbed too badly. It was a very pleasant evening and I would go back again. The food was good too.

Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe is a huge water park with something for everyone. You can surely find a way to beat the heat when you are there. They have numerous water slides, a huge wave pool, kiddie pools, lazy river, etc. and have a variety of food and snack bars to choose from. The ticket price is a bit high but they do offer a season pass. And they even do birthday parties. But be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen!

The Greensboro Children's Museum is an amazing and fun-filled place. My son's favorite items in the museum are the following: the fire engine and the airplane cockpit. Both of those items are NOT child size models. These are the real things!! There's a child size grocery store, fully stocked with miniature grocery carts and cash registers. They have a puppet area, drama area, music area, post office, pretend bank (with working ATM that gives you play money), a sand play area, construction area, and a whole lot more. I love the fact they have an area set aside for the 2 and under crowd -- filled with age appropriate toys and activities for that age range of children. Admission price is reasonable with discount times on Friday night and Sunday. Membership is definitely worth the cost. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is free and usually plentiful.

This is a fun place to take the kids out for an afternoon. They have a lot of different activities like painting, clay making, friendship bracelet making, a paper doll making area, stamping, books to read and more. Our three-year-old son loves to go here. He gets to do a lot of hands on activities, which always makes us happy. They have Family Night on Wednesday’s. This means there are no admission costs (but please if you can make a donation so that they can continue to do this). The membership fees are very reasonable. I give this activity an A+ for children.

We rent our costumes for the Ren Faire here every year. She has a wonderful selection of costumes and magic items. She does rentals and sales. Has Santa, animals, 70's, bunnies, character, Renaissance, roman soldiers, cleopatra, make up accessories, wigs, you name it. She's given us some really good deals since we are there all the time (well at least once a year!) Get there early (at least 3-4 weeks) before you need your costume. She's really busy and sells out quick especially around halloween and the Ren faire...

Everytime i would like to just go buy a book and read it i go to barnes & noble. I like the fact that you can actually sit down and read a little bit if the book before you buy it just to make sure that this is the book that I want.

More
I give the Greensboro Symphony a 5 star rating because they are excellent. They have approximately 10 concerts a year (I’m not sure if the current concert schedule has been posted yet as the season has not started). There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Tickets prices range from $20 to $30 dollars a seat. The parking isn’t always the best in this area but there are a few parking decks to be found. I would recommend you going at least once for the experience.

When you want to shoot pool, you always think of Jake's Pool Hall here in Greensboro. I grew up playing there and socialized my way through college with all the locals there. It reminded me a little of Cheers bar, because they have a full bar, snacks, and everyone knows your name. I like Wednesdays the best because ladies get to play for free all night. Take a group of friends, get there early, and be prepared to play some serious pool. Have a ball (ha ha).
