This is a really eclectic, little store. The outside always reminded me of a gingerbread house from fairy tales, but the inside is actually a gift shop literally chock full of the coolest gifts you'll find anywhere. It's mainly gifts for women and the prices range depending on the type of gift. There are soaps and lotions, purses, magnets, jewelry, clever books, and more. Everything's very unique so you don't have to worry about giving a gift someone already has.

They have a HUGE selection of unique silver jewelry, as well as a good selection of scarfs and bags and a few other gift items like candles and insence burners. i love shopping here. the staffis always helpful and you can find quite a few unique pieces.

I walked into this cute little store recently, and really enjoyed myself. It is a higher end women's consigment shop that carries names like St. John, Dior, Chanel, and lots more. They take in the best stuff from women around the area in gently used condition and resale at a decent price. I saw some St. John there for next to nothing. My only beef with the store was that it was a little tiny and most of the clothes were too old for me...a little out of my age group. Other than that I truly enjoyed my little browse and recommended it to my mom and her friends (they bought lots of stuff).

I was walking downtown one day and just happened upon what I thought was a tiny little antique store. I walked in and a very friendly older woman was working. She happened to be the owner and just happened to be very funny and warm. My husband and I looked around and I found some amazing vintage jewelry. Then we noticed a door in the back....it opened into a complete antique mall! A mall, I say. It was a hive of little rooms and big rooms, all filled with antiques from every generation. It was overstimulating actually, but in a good way. I love to drop in when it is cool outside and the leaves are turning. I can be sure to always find something fun.

When you live by UNCG and you need some groceries, beer, cat litter, hamburger meat, or anything else....go to Bestway! It is just like the old time grocery store with flair. They always have the craziest goth/punk kids working there and they are always extremely helpful. The prices may be a little higher than some of the bigger chain stores, but when you need a tampon at 11pm and you do not want to have to go far...get it at Bestway. Very cool place!

Go in this store!!! This is one of the absolute coolest stores in Greensboro and I love going in. They have bulk foods and candy, they have housewares and cool dishes. They have foreign chocolates and really cool pasta sauces. They have teas from around the world and a really cool cigar and matches section. They have party supplies and wine and beer, oh my! If you walk through the doors, YOU WILL buy something! A terrific place for gifts too. Truly one of a kind.

The Clothesline is the hands down BEST place in town to either sell or consign your gently used items or to find something fun and different. Mary, the owner is absolutely amazing and she makes the store unique and interesting. There is always new stuff and it usually takes me at least half an hour just to look through everything. Some of the jewelry is one of a kind, estate, fun 80's styles, and handmade by local artisians. She has a vintage section with dresses, shirts and coats from the way past eras. There is always a dollar rack outside that sponsors an animal charity. If you are looking for a great deal, fun conversation, a feeling of being welcomed, and a fun time looking....go to the Clothesline! Tell mary that Tracey sent you.

If you love to read as much as I do, you must try Ed Mackays! I would go broke if I had to pay full price for all the books I read and want to keep. Ed Mackays is an affordable solution to my addiction. I can usually find bags full of books to take home to last me for another week or two. Ed Mackays sells mainly used paper back books, some hard backed books, games, movies, and cds. So my husband can go and find cds and games, while I browse the books. And they will purchase used books, games, movies, cds for store credit. The staff is usually helpful and knowledgeable. For book lovers, this is the place to be.

Cheap O Video is owned and operated by the same people as Tummy Yummy next door. They have a ton of movies and DVDs to rent as well as a very large selection of "adult" vidoes! The prices beat Blockbuster to death and the guys that work there are fun and easy going. Getting a rental card is easy and quick and once you go there to rent videos, you will never want to go to the chain stores again! Drop in and pick out something fun to watch.
