If you’re looking for something fun and different to do with the kids this is the place to go. We had a blast with our three-year-old son and two nieces. They have some arcade games if the kids get tired of bowling. If you have younger children with you remember to request a lane with bumper pads. It makes it a lot more fun for the kids when the balls aren’t always going in the gutter. This bowling alley was very clean and a real winner for us was that no one was smoking in there when we visited.

When we go bowling, I tent to like Gate City a little better than the rest of the bowling alleys in town. They are larger and less crowded and the smoke is not as thick as some of the others. The lanes seem to be a little longer though, and I never seem to bowl as well there. I guess you win some and lose some. The prices are about average and the people are pretty friendly. Bring your own shoes though, cause bowling alley shoes are a serious rip off.

If you have children and your relocating to Greensboro or just moving from one end of town to the other this is the school you want them in. The school is very clean, bright and has some of the best teachers. They offer a great after school program called Aces for working parents. It keeps your children at the school instead of shipping them out to a daycare. The cost is very reasonable. In my opinion they have one of the largest PAC groups around. They stay very involved in whats happening around Jesse Wharton. This school is very highly rated not only by the parents but also by the county.

I am a physical therapist and completely feel that The Little Gym is a wonderful place for children of all ages to go! I signed my oldest 2 children up for The Little Gym, my 5 year old daughter in the gymnastics class and my 3 year old son in the sports class. They both loved in so much and gained from it that I could not wait to sign youngest up! When my daughter turned 4 months (the youngest they take) I signed her up for the "Bugs" class. As a PT, every thing they taught in that class is up to par with what I I do in my practice. They teach parents how to manipulate their children to increase muscle strength and core stability that is going to be imperative in crawling. The children also gain social and emotional benefits from the gym as well (not to mention the social aspect that I got from it too)! The Little Gym has been the best thing I have ever done for my children and I only wish I could have put my oldest two in at an earlier age!!

Caldwell Academy is a classical, Christian school. They provide a solid classical program, turning out well educated students year after year. They are also solidly Christian., though they are not affiliated with any particular church or any certain denomination. As far as private schools go, Caldwell Academy is a fabulous value - it is one of the lowest priced private schools in the area, but in this case, you get far more than what you pay for. A growing sports program (some of the teams have won state championships!), solid, rigorous academics, an environment of teamwork between staff, parents and students, community, and THE most beautiful school campus around!

More
I have attended MANC for many years now, and I can say from personal experience just how fortunate I have been to have received my music instruction there. The teachers are extremely qualified and teach a variety of different styles of music as well as instruments. There's percussion, brass, strings, and piano. Also, all levels of instruction are implemented. They have an early education music program to expose young children to music and its benefits. The environment facilitates learning of all kinds to a very high degree. Students not only interact with teachers but also with other students. Students learn from other students, and in the same way, teachers learn from other teachers. So many opportunities are available at this school. The only downside is perhaps the tuition fees for lessons. However, they do have financial aid and merit scholarships available to assist in this.

Leon's is a beauty school, but at that school they need people to test out their technique on....so they give haircuts. I have never had more than a trim done there myself, a lot of my male friends swore by leons. You could get super cheap haicuts, quality haircuts...done by soon to be pretty expensive sylists. Its a great place to go when you want a cutting edge cut, and are working on a budget.

My daughter is attending the Dan Mohr Real Estate School presently and is enjoying it very much. She is able to attend and within 4 and a half weeks take the state sales test. She said that the instructors are very well informed and interesting and that she looks forward to continuing and taking her broker's class immediately following the sales class.

My granddaughters both attended Conenant Chirstian Day School and they enjoyed it very much. My daughter always wanted her children to go to Christian school because of the environment. The prices are of course much higher than some, but it beats public school. Kids get an education and get to learn about God at the same time.

More
I would have to say this is one of the largest Public Libraries I have been in and the best I have been in, in Greensboro. Its very rare that when you go here you don’t find what your looking for. The other great thing about this location is that it puts on special events such as children’s music/TV groups along with story time etc. This location is located directly across the street from the Children’s Museum so if you have some free time check them both out one day. Don’t forget the importance of reading to your children. Visit your local Library.
