I have not used the day care facilities at any of these gyms, so I don't know how good they are, but I know they exist. In general the gyms are good and offer a variety of classes. I really like the yoga class with Astra at Northgate Express.
I have been a member for 10 years and have never had the price go up on my membership. However, since I joined before 24 hour fitness existed (it was Family Fitness back then) I have an "active" membership and can't use the "sport" clubs. I tried to upgrade but it was way to expensive, and definetly did not seem worth it.
Check out a club near you and see what they have to offer.

Our dog is young and energetic. He likes to socialize with other dogs, so we board him at Lucky Dog. The dogs have their own kennels at night, but during the day they get to play because Lucky Dog also offers day care services. Rolo comes home pooped, because while we are away, he plays all day! The owner and staff are friendly, and it's nice to leave your dog with people who remember his name! Boarding is $25 a day. With an extra $5/day for walks. We paid for walks the first time we left Rolo, but were informed that we probably didn't need to pay for them because he used up lots of energy playing with the other dogs!

I had been taking tap dancing from Marlo Martin for a year when she and fellow instructor, Veronica Lee, opened their own dance school. Located in Greenlake, the school offers classes in modern, jazz, ballet, tap and hip-hop for adults, and a variety of classes for kids and teens. The classes are pay as you go, and good for beginners (I was an ultimate beginner) as well as those with experience. The instructors are friendly and great dancers. Try them out for a good workout for both the body and mind! I highly recommend them!

I recently had Second Wind play at my wedding and recommend them as a great dance band. I listened to many bands and picked Second Wind because of the lead singer. I liked his voice and new I wouldn't be cringing while the band played some of our favorite songs (highly likely with other local bands!!!). They play a good variety of classic rock (a little new stuff), swing and standards. If you give them enough warning and provide sheet music, they can practice new stuff ahead of time. They are about the same price as other dance bands I looked into. We had the 6-piece band, but they can also provide more horns for a 10- piece band. They really got the dance floor moving and we received many compliments from our guests on our choice.

The Dome Room is located in the Arctic Building, downtown, on the corner or 3rd and Cherry. It is a banquet room that can handle over 200 people and has an antique glass domed ceiling that lights up. The dome is the highlight of the room and provides an art deco like, classy, ambiance. I had my wedding there, and with the dance floor in the middle of the room under the dome and all the tables surrounding it, you can't help but have a great time. There is also an attached area with large windows at one end that has room for buffet and extra dinner tables and a bar. I?ve looked at many different types of banquet type rooms and this one is in the low to mid price range. Arrangements are made with Tony's Catering, and you can use them as a caterer for your event or not. It gets a little pricey if you don't go with them (lots of add on charges). We chose to use them and really liked the food. Another plus is that you bring your own alcohol, which is a HUGE savings over many banquet/catering/hotel options. The feel of the room is what makes this such a great spot for weddings, parties, or banquets. I highly recommend it!
