Zach's is probably the best true "sports bar" in Altoona to watch the game, drink beer and eat good pub food.
The atmosphere at Zach's cannot be beat. They have more TVs than I can count, so you will never miss a play! In fact, I don't think there is a seat in the place that you can't see a TV from, including the restrooms!
The bar is huge and the tables are spacious. There are several large pool tables and very high ceilings with great ventilation, so it doesn't feel like a stuffy, smoky bar.
The food is good - but not the best bar food in town (for that see my review of Al's). But their "nitro" wings are still very good (but hot!) and what I usually order when I go there.
Service is usually good and prices are moderate for the Altoona area.
All in all, a great place to eat and watch the game!
