I love the staff and atmosphere of this particular location. The art in the windows and the conversation behind the counter always entertains me. Above all, this store makes the best cappucinos in the city.

The Cup and Saucer is a great little coffee shop/bar in Kansas City. It has two separate dining areas, and is perfect when your crowd can't decide between lattes and beer. In the morning, the C&S gets quite busy with the locals chatting it up over sumatra and quiche. Prices here are comparable to Starbucks, but it's always nice to support your local coffee shop. I suggest the hazelnut latte!

Currently,this location is the only one place in the mall where you can sit down and enjoy a nice snack. Lots of comfortable seating inside. I asked to try one of the new drinks and I was given a very generous sample of it. Also samples of one of the desserts were available for the customers to try. My party bought 3 of the desserts-found them all enjoyable. Fast service!
PROS: comfortable seating,great tasting desserts,free samples
CONS: needs more covered umbrellas outside,high prices

The Perfect Cup is the perfect atmosphere for a coffee shop. They have a variety of coffee beverages, music playing in the background, wireless internet, books, games, comfy chairs, a neighborhood info board...the list goes on! It's a great place to meet friends to chat or sit by yourself and relax. It's a refreshing break from the chain coffee shops, which aren't as successful at making the atmosphere welcoming.
