I found this in the time of desperate need! I needed a cheesecake fast for my bff's birthday party. She loves Cheesecake so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to check this place out. The cheesecake was reasonable priced and absolutely delicious. Everyone at the party was very please and thought it was fabulous as well.

The also have an internet cafe, and two old school video games that you can use while you are there. Friendly people and fast service!

McClain's is in the heart of the Waldo Neighborhood. It has been around for decades. The have wonderful ooey, gooey pastries, donuts, wedding cakes, birthday cakes. You name it they have it. They open early in the morning and their pastries are made fresh. The parking is limited, you usually have to park on the street in the front of the building.

I love this spot! They have the most wonderful sandwiches. Of course the bread is excellent, but they also have fresh veggies and good quality meats and cheeses. They have delicious soups too. I frequently run here for lunch from work. I don't have a lot of time so I really appreciate their fast and friendly service. The food is outstanding and very reasonable priced. When I run in for lunch, I usually also grab some bread for that night's dinner. It is always fresh.

You have to try a bagel and coffee here. The best cream cheese in town is their sundried tomato version. Perfect on an Asiago cheese bagel. Great pastries too and the coffee is always just right, not bitter and a great flavor. The iced drinks and a nice change from Starbucks and they have a loyalty card that gives you afree drink after 8 purchases. Always busy but not overly so (always a seat) and clean. Good restrooms too and that is important when you have children with you like I often do.

This bakery is a favorite of mine. The service is always wonderful and prompt. The baked goods are so perfectly done. We often order birthday cakes from McLain's for our work parties. They have a very yummy carrot cake and several specialty cookies to choose from too. It is usually very quick and easy to get in and out of McLain's. Do not be afraid to ask them for suggestions to go with your menu or for them to adjust a dessert to meet your needs. We have always found them helpful and willing to do what you ask. Enjoy!
