Don't even go to KG's if you're not interested in authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Kien Giang’s is the real deal – you can get jellyfish salad, numerous tripe dishes, beef tendon, really good pho, and a host of other more mundane things like lemongrass chicken (my favorite). It’s off the beaten path on Charlotte down past White Bridge Road, but well worth the drive. Closed Mondays, and cash only. Really good stuff!
Pros: affordable, great food, authentic selections.
