Over priced, poor workmanship, bad customer service 5/10/2008

Unfortunatley my experience with this tailor was the exact opposite of the previous review. I took a brides maid dress there on the recommendation of the shop I bought it from. When I tried the dress on to be pinned the seamstress pinned the bottom and the sides but neglected the front which was gapping out. I asked her ""what about the front"" and her co-worker also said ""yea, look at the front"" noticing that obviously that needed to be taken in. She said it was no problem and she would fix it but did not pin it. They charged me $125.00 and made me pay before the alterations were done. I even called them a day later to confirm that they would fix up the front. They said yes. When I got the dress back 3 weeks later, all that my $125.00 got me was a shortened hem and the sides taken in, something I could have probably done myself. The front still gaped out immensley. I called twice and left messages requesting a call back. No call. I ended up having to take it to another tailor who took a look and could tell nothing had been touched in the front. She actually (as most good tailors do) pinned the dress on all the seams not just the sides and is fixing it. I would never use this tailor and will be asking the bridal shop I bought the dress from to take them off of their list of recommended seamstress's. more
