I was really excited to go to Allan's to buy my new hamster - my neighborhood pet store. I was shocked to find out that not only do they ""have no time"" to play with the pets in their store, they didn't know the ages of the hamsters, if they were friendly, where they had come from (""usually people drop them off""), or how long they had been there. They also have a no return policy and no guarantee that their pets are in good health.
Pros: Know their fish, mom & pop, small store and accessible staff
Cons: Don't know the pets they sell (other then fish)
