The Orpheum does not provide air conditioning for the balcony sections. I attended a concert there on July 29, 2005. The balcony was so unbearably hot that several people went to the manager to complain. He asked us to wait downstairs for him, but he never showed up to talk to us. A few people left after being given a partial refund. The employees were extremely rude to us as we were waiting for the manager and never offered an apology for the heat or offered us any accomodations to remedy the situation. I would not recommend this theater to anyone. It is a beautiful old building, but is horribly uncomfortable and has extremely rude, unprofessional, unhelpful staff.
