India Garden is one of the best secrets in Oakland. The menu is extensive and the food is prepared fresh. This restaurant doesn't cut corners like some college town Indian restaurants do. I highly suggest ordering from the entree menu if you enjoy Indian food. The Chicken Chili is untraditional and a delicious treat. The Naan, Vegetarian, Chicken, and Tandoori plates are authentic and delicious. There is a 50% off entree special in the evenings for those on a budget. The buffet is cheap and good for college kids on a budget. My only complaint is that parking is difficult on the weekends, so plan ahead and prepare to walk from a block or two away but it is WELL worth it. This is a great place to take friends and family.
