Even though Dr. Abreu's services are priced higher than other dentists in the area (they are * very* expensive, even with insurance) I thought the quality of care was good enough to warrant returning. I was a patient for over three years and happy with their care.
But lately waiting times have increased - for appointments with either him or his wife - and his office's customer service has steadily declined. This latest visit tops all. Even though I had one of the early AM slots I waited for 30 minutes in the lobby... without any notification that there was a wait or apologies for the delay! When I finally asked the front desk if I needed to reschedule they said there had been an emergency but I would be seen immediately. Ten minutes later I'm in Dr. Abreu's chair but still waiting and waiting. No word or update. After a total of 45 minutes of wait time I took off my bib and left. I informed my dentist that I was canceling and that client service means informing their patients when wait times will exceed 10 minutes or so. It's just common courtesy. She apologized but I won't be returning. Mistakes happen, sure, but there are other dentists who can provide the same services but with more care for their clients.
