I had read a review about this shop before going there myself. I should have listened. I had also gone in without an appointment with my mother who was in from out of town. It was a week day, and the shop was empty. We looked around for about 5 min. before anyone came over to us. When someone did come over, she was very rude and told us to come back with an appointment. There were two people working and no customers! I explained that my mother was in from out of town. She did not budge, and her attitude was very rude. I was not willing to come back and make an appointment w/someone who treated me with such disrespect. I went to this shop yesterday looking for Jasmin bridal gowns. After being completely ignored for about 10 minutes while I looked around, the owner came out and in a very snooty tone of voice told me that her shop was by appointment only. There was nobody else in the shop! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. There was a selection of shoes by the front door that had dirt on them as well as the bags the dresses hung in. It is not worth your while! Spending time at the Village Bridal was absolutely terrible. I made an appointment to look at wedding dresses, and I when I arrived, I was surprised to find that the owner chose to completely ignore me. Even though I told her I made the appointment, she continued to go about the store as if I wasn't even there. I eventually got annoyed, and just tried to help myself, at which point, she actually yelled at me and told me to leave! I found a dress there that I actually really liked, but you couldn't pay me to step foot in that store again. After that experience, I tried Arzelle's on West End. The people were extremely helpful, and the dresses were gorgeous. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and skip Village Bridal all together! Just about the same experience...after flipping through their selection and even pulling a couple of wedding gowns that I was interested in, I was completely ignored by the two salespeople there, who were busying themselves with organizing tiaras in a case-not another customer in sight! After explaining that my mother lives out of town and wanted me to check around for potential wedding gowns, I was told to make an appointment when she was in town and come back then....because clearly they were far too busy to even bother to be friendly in their empty shop without her there... more

This store is anything from ordinary. I didn't even have time to tell her what I had in mind, yet the owner pulled out a picture of the dress I had been wanting for so long, saying that it looked like it fit my personality. She even had it in stock! She has definately been my fairy godmother! Pros: unique, wonderful, thoughtful more

Before I could get a chance to fully explain to the owner what it is I wanted, I was told that she could not help me. I needed a bridesmaid dress and she claimed that she did not make such. Confused??!!! So was I!!! Save your time and energy and do not go down there! Cons: , Unfriendly more
