Uptown Dental Care

This place continues to be shady. They filed an exam on my insurance even though the dentist was out of town and I didn't get an exam. When I called to tell them, they said they'd reimburse me $17 even though the claim on my insurance was $55. And the billing lady was extremely snotty about it. All I got was a cleaning from a crackhead, super-hyper hygienist who talked my ear off and kept gagging me with her tools. This place is truly awful and not even the addition of Dr. Martin (who is actually very nice) can save it. I will never go here again. And I suggest no one else does either. more

I could tell that a large part of a back tooth had broken off. Dr. Martin, with his gentle manner and efficient in-house equipment, not only saved my tooth but, during the same visit, was able to repair another tooth with an old silver filling that was about to split the tooth in half (a situation obvious to anyone seeing photos of the tooth). Throughout the process, he did everything he could to keep me comfortable, both with the processes involved and physically. Part of the time, I was asleep. Through the years, my family and I have had a lot of dental work done, but this definitely was my best experience with a dentist. I went to Dr. Martin because of his reputation for showing consideration for his patients and doing whatever he can to keep costs down. The last time I wrote a review was because of a horrible dining experience, but I'm writing this time for opposite reasons. I joined this service so I could share my positive Uptown Dental Care experience. more

I recently went to Uptown Dental for a cleaning, and the dentist (Dr. Alan Martin) and staff were wonderful. They took my insurance with no problems, and everyone was very professional and friendly. The cleaning and exam were painless. The xrays showed up immediately on the office computer, which was kind of cool, so I could see what the dentist and hygienist saw. He also used a special tool to check out an area that looked like it might be a cavity. He could tell by the frequency whether or not there was decay. I didn't end up needing a filling. I don't know where some of the other reviewers went. I had a great experience at Uptown Dental. more

SHADY PLACE! I went in for the exam to verify I needed my wisdom teeth pulled and after checking my insurance, the office manager (AKA closer) said my insurance didn't cover it and it would be $2500. I knew for a fact that 80% was covered because I had just called them. She immediately started pushing the ""great financing options."" I went to a reputable place and I was right about paying 20% out of pocket. Uptown Dental couldn't have been shadier, they don't even put you under and the surgeon isn't even on site. Imagine that: they give you pain pills and then the butcher comes in! SHADY! more

I would recommend avoiding this office. Doctor made unprofessional comments in order to ""scare me"" into doing a procedure, as if that were even necessary. He was insulting and arrogant. more

It took me about a year to finally decide with whom I wanted to invest in having porcelain veneers done. I finally met Dr. David Silber and Lumineers. Today, I'm a very satisfied patient with a new and beautiful ""white"" smile. If you want to get a beautiful smile, then you definitely need to go see Dr. Silber!!! I was extremely pleased with the service offered by Dr. Silber ... not only he took care of my needs, but also explained to me other options available based on some concerns I had. I had heard a lot about Dr. Silber, and he really is a great doctor. He listened to my complaints and did a great job cleaning and whitening my teeth. I spoke to courteous office staff on the phone and got a convenient appointment. I was seen on time, and my visit was painless. Now I have a smile that I can show off. I will definitely tell all my friends and family about this positive experience, and will be back for another cleaning in 6 months. They will not only try to advise you of dental work that you absolutely don't need, but will continuously bother you to come in and get this unnecessary work done! They got me to come to their office by offering a free whitening kit in a mailer, and thats the only reason why I thought Id give this dentist a try- but was not even worth it. I visited the dentist I had been seeing for years, 6-9 months prior to scheduling a cleaning with this office for the whitening kit, and I had no issues or work that needed to be done with my previous dentist. I have never been told that I should consider braces by any of the dentists that Ive been too, and the first thing this dentist tells me about is Invisalign(a new form of braces)! She then goes into needing to remove my wisdom teeth that have grown in just fine, and my other dentist confirmed that there is no reason for the removal! This is just a couple of the many outrageous comments and suggestions made by this dentist. They obviously have spare time on their hands with their limited cliental base, as I once received a call twice in the same day from the receptionist to try to schedule my next visit! I would not recommend this office!!!! more
