Tracy Gail Custom Dress & Tailoring

After being unable to find my dream dress anywhere and a horrible first attempt by someone else to make it I found Tracy via Google. I was hesitant to have yet another seamstress try to make my wedding gown but then I realized Tracy is not just another seamstress. She truly is an artist! Based on only 2 pictures she was able to order the exact color of blush silk I wanted and craft the most beautiful wedding gown. The built in bustier fits like a glove, the waist is in the exact right spot and the gathers are breathtaking. She was always kind, on time and professional. The dress ended up costing exactly what she said it would and was completed with plenty of time to spare. From scratch, after only 4 appointments and about 4 weeks I have my very own custom wedding gown. I not only found the only seamstress I'll ever need but a new friend as well. Can't wait to get the wedding photos back! more

Increased cost of alterations because she had ""difficulty with removing the stitches."" Lacks the ability to replace faux-hole stitching on cuffs. Buttons not straight on cuff. Dress not altered as specified, now has weird triangle folds of cloth coming out of the bottom. Will never return. more

I am new to the Bellevue area and happened to find Tracy Gail. I had a bridesmaid's dress that needed to be let out a bit and I was nervous on who to trust. I am so happy to have found Tracy! She was nice, very professional, very affordable, and the dress turned out great. I will always go to Tracy from now on. more

Tracy altered my wedding dress recently and did an amazing job. With only one fitting, she transformed my dress and made it fit perfectly. Her prices are reasonable, and she was nice and professional. She was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that I went to see her ( I traveled from Yakima). My married friends were amazed that I didn't have multiple fittings, as was I. Thank you Tracy for helping my wedding dress fit like a glove!!! more

My mother found Tracy on-line, and I loved her ability to listen to what we both wanted in our dresses and designed and created amazing works of art! \r \r We are both plus size, and like everyone else I am concerned if she was going to be able to relate. She showed great professionalism and knew what how to make the dress look better on our types of bodies. \r \r I would suggest her at any length, prompt, easy to work with and overall a wonderful women.\r \r Also, her dog is adorable and I LOVED going into her shop every time to see that cute dog and give him some lovin' by the way we left with two dresses one in white and zero dog hair! I have been working with Tracy for several years now since she used to do alterations for the high end womens store we used to have. Even though we are no longer in business, we still deal with her on a personal level and her service remains the same.. friendly, professional and fast. I have been a customer of Tracy Gail Custom Dress since the 1980's and have utilized her full range of services, from alterations to custom clothing to specialty items created per my request. Every experience has been highy satisfactory and my clothes fit beautifully. In 1996 she helped me design and creat my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, working closely with me in choosing the fabrics and color tones, and helping create the exact results I had hoped for. It doesn't get better than that.\r \r My latest experience with Tracy is a new pair of jeans from the line she is creating. They were done in two days and fit beautifully--to the point that I have been receiving unsolicited compliments and ""where did you find them"" comments--and for jeans! Who normally notices jeans?????\r \r Tracy and her staff are high professional in the quality of their work and in their customer demeanor. I have been very happy with their services and will continue to use them. Pros: Personalized attention, good parking, easy to contact, prompt response Cons: none that I couod find more

My first experience with Tracy was when she created a pair of gaiters to fit over my mountaineering boots. Colorful, practical, and sturdy! This gave me enough confidence to work with her on a suit and several blouses. I had a poor experiences with another tailor previously so was very nervous. Tracy assisted with fabric choices, helped me understand the pros and cons, DIDN'T push me to the most expensive fabric... She offered great insight to styling, length and so on. She did not rush the process, and was happy to make repeated adjustments at fittings until things were just right. I love the feel of my suit - and I never fail to get compliments on the fit. (I'm tall and can be difficult to fit.) I continue to be impressed by the range of Tracy's skills and have returned for additional work. The service was warm and welcoming, and she immediately understood exactly what I was looking for. She created a series of satin pillow cases embroidered to customize for my friends. Terrific! Wasn't sure my dress was taken in enough, she assured me it was. Took it home to Eastern Washington and had a friend take it in more, plus friend suggested altering the jacket (which Tracy said was fine) and it looked beautiful. Tracy should have noticed this. Also, the dog is a bit much. Why bring expensive clothing in and worry about dog hair? There are more pleasant places to have alterations done. great job listening to what i wanted! however, i came back home with my dress covered in black dog hair from her shop and one of the seams had already started coming apart. overall, i'd still recommend her. Pros: parking, listens well Cons: expensive, saturday availability more
