As a native New Jerseyan, I can honestly say Tony's NY Pizza is TRUE New York Style. The pizza is perfect! The lasagna is fantastic as well. The one thing that keeps me coming back is Tony himself. He is so friendly and such a great guy. It's nice to give your business to someone like that. Pros: True NY Style, great management Cons: none! more

This is one of the better pizza joints I have tried since moving to Houston. There are lots of pizza places in the immediate area (Jones Rd. between 290 and 1960) and this one is easily the best. The crust is real hand tossed and tastes great - crispy on the bottom, but soft around the edge. They used just the right amount of toppings too - no skimping here but not so loaded that they all fall off. Their pies are a good size for a good price. True to NY, they have slices available too, with lots of toppings to choose from, including traditional (pepperoni, margarita, etc.) to extreme (mega meat, baked ziti, etc.) I was impressed and will definitely be back. My husband grew up part-time in New York. He took me to New York and introduced me to the pizza 13 years ago and I have been hooked ever since! I have looked for good New York Pizza in my travels from here to Austin, TX to San Diego, CA. This is the first time I have found the real deal. The crust is thin and crip, not soggy. The sauce is not too sweet and has a great flavor. The pepperoni is nice and thin and don't get me going about the cheese! Also, not a grease bowl, just the right amount to let you know it's true Italian. The Owner is from New York and had a pizzeria with his brothers in New York for 20 years before coming here. You won't be disappointed! Pros: The food! more
