Best time getting your hair done! 8/8/2006

April has been cutting and ""enhancing the color"" of my hair for about 10 years. What sets her above the rest is that she always listens to what I want and doesn't deviate from my description. She reminds me at every appointment that I am trying to grow my hair long - when most stylists are trained to be scissor-happy so that you have to return and spend money with them more often. On many occasions, I have had complete strangers approach me and ask for a referral. April also has the most infectious laugh in Dallas! Pros: the atmosphere is eclectic and not intimidating more

BEST I EVER HAD! 8/7/2006

I found April by asking a complete stranger about their hair. I am SO glad I did too. Not only did I get the best cut, she also gave me the very best up-do I've had. I highly recommend her for MANY reasons! She is not only the master of cuts and styles, but she has the most up-beat energy about her and I LOVE the fact that I can contact her directly to make my appointments. I've always hated the inferior front desk staff at OTHER salons that treat me like ""take a number"". She is a great girl with amazing talent and a beautiful personality. If you are even slightly not thrilled about your hair I suggest you call her! 214-317-5624 Pros: everything. Cons: none at all. more

Best Salon in Dallas 8/6/2006

April Gilpin at Select Salon is the best. I've been going for her for years, first at Toni & Guy and now at Select Salon. Her flexibility in getting appointments and her professional cuts and stylings can't be beat. Makes my day when I go in there. Her direct phone number there is 214-317-5624.
