Been going here since I was a kid. I cannot complain. Brings back good memories I guess. Gotta go at night. Thats the best time to beat the crowds! more

I live near the Factoria Safeway, but end up always going to the 140th Safeway. Their hot food section is always hot and fresh. The fruit/veggie section and meats are always well kept and restocked. Not the fanciest store on the block, but better than Factoria Safeway more

I've heard that this location will get a remodel some day. They will probably need more than that, because their prices seem higher, and some members of their staff at the checkout lines -- not only a couple, but definitely not all of them -- really don't seem to care if they do a good job, and when your groceries finally do get bagged, you may have to rebag them to make sure that your food isn't ruined. The selection of organic foods is poor, so for many, I recommend going elsewhere. more

Safeway has a much smaller selection compared to Fred Meyer, which is less than 1/5th a mile away. As such, I never shop at Safeway. However, I recently learned of a promotion they had, where if you buy any 10 TV dinners, they'd give you two movie tickets for free. Being a slickdealer, I had to jump on that. I discovered not only were prices significantly higher than Fred Meyer, but often lower quality. At the checkout, they claimed I didn't buy "the right kind" of TV dinners. The cashier explained that they do this on purpose, because at this point people just give up and don't get the tickets. I told them to give me a refund, and then I went back and bought the super crappy dinners, and got my tickets. I'm never shopping there again. more

I typically never shop at this store. However, they recently had a promotion where if you buy any 10 TV dinners, you'd get 2 free movie tickets. Being the dealer I am, I went in specifically for this deal. I noted, as I made my way to the frozen food, that prices were considerably higher than competing stores... and that's with their "discount card". In other words, unless you give them your mailing address and other personal information, they charge you about 15% more per item. Long story short, the cashier openly admitted the deal I had come in for was only to get people in the door, and they had no intention of giving out a good number of tickets. more
