The good:
* plenty of people all dressed up (women mostly in short sequined dresses, men in dark suits)
* easy to get drinks, champagne toast
* some places to sit, if you nab an unused table
* place to get your picture taken until 11
The less good:
* venue is too large, so even though the crowd is huge, it isn't intimate
* really horrible cocktails (the worst I've had and expensive too)
* terrible music for dancing -- they advertised Motown, 80s, 90s, and current top-40 dance & club hits, but I only recognized 3 songs over the course of 3 hours of slowish R&B
Recommended for 20-somethings who come in a crowd, get drunk beforehand, and like R&B
Not recommended for 30- and 40-somethings. There were people of that age there, but they didn't seem to be having a good time, since the music wasn't danceable.
