After a long week we were anticipating an evening of good food, drink, and good customer service. We sat down ordered & received our drinks, looked at the menu & figured out what we wanted. The next time the pretentious bartender walked by us he dropped off the tab and went to another customer. We were never asked if we wanted to order food, or another drink. I've been looking for the best lounge in all of Los Angeles, and this is it by far. Sick of having to hustle and squeeze yourself to the front of the bar to get the bartenders attention? Sick of not having a place to sit? Sick of the noise levels in bars being so loud that you can't have a conversation? This is the place. And after 10:00pm most of their great appetizers are half off, and they have drink specials for $2.99. Even on weekends! Upscale place, upscale food + drinks, way way downscale prices. I've never been for dinner-- but in terms of a bar, not to find someone to hook up with, but a place to have great conversation with friends, this is the only spot in los angeles in my opinion. Went to Palomino for a quick business lunch with a colleague -- ordered the fresh fish, companion ordered salad/sandwich combo. Ordered sparkling water, waiter poured it into a dirty glass (lipstick on the rim) -- when asked for a replacement, he brought an empty glass -- apparently forgetting that he had dumped out the contents of my bottled water! No offer of a replacement bottle was given. 45 minute after placing our lunch orders, food finally arrived -- and was mediocre at best. Check was placed on the table within 5 minutes of the food being presented. Ridiculous! NEVER going back. more

This place is worth going to. The service was good, the food was good, the ambience was nice. You can sign up on their website and when your birthday comes, they'll send you an email and you can get $10-$50 off your total bill depending on how many friends you bring with you to dinner. And they give a free dessert to the birthday boy/girl. Some dishes to try: bruschetta samples, artichoke & ricotta ravioli, chicken picatta, and of course, dessert!!
