Best

This is the place where you can find juicy and delicious barbecue's in Raleigh. I already miss their bbq can't wait for my next visit in Raleigh.

Worst

I see lots of high ratings and comments about ""real-BBQ"" and ""top-ten"" in NC and I'm telling you, it just can't be. I always love the ""shacky"" vibe but the food still quite ...

excellent 9/4/2002

the barbeque is the best in n.c. Jerry, the owner, is quite a character. Pros: food, sevice Cons: crowded, lack of parking, very small place more

Great service 9/3/2002

great service. good price. best bar-b-que in Raleigh. No waiting for someone to take your order. more

Damn Fine Pig 8/27/2002

Simply the best barbeque in Raleigh. Coopers and Don Murray's pale in comparison. Better pig, hushpuppies, sides, and banana pudding. Unbelievably fast, friendly service that can only be brightened by a Jerry Hart joke or hug. Gotta watch out for that last one! more

On point that is! I've been eating there since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and the eatin' just gets ""gooder and gooder""! I'm ""hog-wild"" on the new yellow awning too! Devon Armstrong more

Freindly Folks and Great Food 8/21/2002

I remember the first time I went to Ole Time, and it was wonderful. The tea is always good, the barbecue is always fresh, and the people couldn't be more friendly. When I eat there, it feels like somebody's kitchen. And when Mr. Hart's there, things are always lively. I hope to be able to come back forever. Pros: Across from tracks, Good food, Great people more

Here Piggy Piggy... 8/21/2002

Ole Time Barbecue has the best pig in town...not to mention the sides--yummy! The employees are always fun and friendly too. Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly People, Close to Home Cons: Small Dining Area, Crowded, Limited Parking more

no one is ever a stranger 8/17/2002

not only is it currently the best barbecue restaurant anywyere, but has been for a long time. The owners, Kathy and Jerry Hart are hands-on, on site and their dedication to their establishment is easily measured by the consistency of the repeat customers from all aspects of the Research Triangle area. Good job, Kathy and Jerry. more
