I love Nit Noi. The spring rolls are GREAT and any of their sauteed chicken dishes are fabulous. The only bad thing that I have tried is the ginger thai fried rice. Too much ginger for my tastebuds. Other than that, everything has been wonderful. It's true that sometimes the service isn't wonderful, but for the most part it's good. I love that older man who comes around for drink refills! This food at this place is so bland, it can't pass for authentic Thai. The only ""spice"" they seem to know is sweet. Vegetables drown in heavy sweet-ish gravy. Asked whether they made fish with chili sauce, they answered ""sure"", but came back with a weak (and sweet) imitation of it. Sure the atmosphere is pleseant, but my dinner companions and I, who have had the privilege of living in Asia and eating authentic Thai food in Thailand, cannot recommend this place. Go to Thai Spice Fast Food on Bellaire Blvd. @ Mary Bates--it's homey Thai food with a kick (and it's so reasonably priced). more

We ordered 5 dishes to share and noticed the service was very slow. When the food finally was ready, it came with 1 bowl of rice that was half empty. We asked if we could have more rice and the waiter gave us a dirty look. At the end of the meal, the waiter took a while to prepare the check & we noticed a 15% tip was included in our total bill. With the kind of service we received, its a high way robbery!! We realized that were overcharged by $4 for 2 bowls of rice. Ridiculous!! Not only the bowls were small and half empty, but the waiter failed to inform us that thered be extra charge on it!! Im speechless and aware that the management of this restaurant most likely wont do anything about it. Its wrong to charge customers without telling them about it before hand!
