Money over customers is the philosophy here. I took my staff of 11 to this location to treat them to one of their extremely large pizzas as a surprise. I've been to the Russo's on Gray St before and thought it would be a great treat for my team. I show up at this Russo's with embarrassment to find out that unlike the Gray location, this one only offers their huge pizza for delivery only not dine in. I told who appeared to be the manager and the owner if they could make a one time exception and they said NO. The owner the says the price difference isn't much to serve 12 people with smaller pizzas and replied well if it isn't much why are y'all making such a big deal about it. Here I am with 11 people and mind you there where only like 3 other customers in the lobby and they turned us down. Could I afford to pay more to treat my team? Sure, but this was now about principle. I took my team and my business across town to Gray St where it was a better atmosphere, better service, and the HUGE pizza for dine in customers. I wasted extra time and gas, but refuse to give any business to someone with poor business etiquette. I believe word of mouth goes a long way and they will soon find out how long 12 unsatisfied customers can spread the word. My company has over 300 employees in Houston and i will make sure they are all aware of this location. more

way to ruin party 5/11/2012

I ordered pizzas at noon for a 4pm delivery for a party for my child at a local party place. I even paid ahead and gave a 15% tip. I was called at 410 to be told that my order would be late. HELLO YOUARE ALREADY 10 MINTUES LATE AS OF YOUR CALL. Anyone with kids knows that a kid party allows only a small window for the food after the activities. Natrually I was super stressed out for the last half of my childs party wondering where in the world my food was - my pizzas arrived 45 minutes late- with only 15 minutes left to eat. I had to do the cake first so that I didnt run out of time- which I did run out of time. I asked for my tip to be refunded- which it was not. The only thing this place did was give me a 15% discount on the order. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. more

The best pizza I've had in Houston 2/27/2009

We first went here as an afterthought while holiday shopping in Meyerland, and were certainly glad we did -- this place is amazing! HUGE oversized slices came right out of the oven onto our plates, and a surprisingly good rich, creamy New England clam chowder. The only thing that could use a little work was the iceberg salad, which was cool and crisp but a little bland. Definitely reminds me of the family-owned pizzerias up north, even down to the slightly sullen teens working behind the counter. Have returned here several times since our trip in November, and will be back again soon! more

Best Cheese Pizza by the slice 3/4/2007

New York Pizzeria is best place for pizza in the Houston Area. They have the best deals for food everyday of the week jform 11am to 5pm you can get pizza for the best price for instance a slice of cheese pizza and a drink is only 3.99! Now, I know you may be thinking what is the size of the slice well it is about 1/12 of a 42 inch pizza. If you want to eat healthy I would suggest the veggie slice with the greek salad. The greek salad is great it had feta chesse, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and really good bread slices with capers that are really good. If you want to eat pizza but not the delivery kind I would suggest going here. Pros: big drinks and great ambience and service Cons: No cons more

This is an above average pizza/italian restaurant. Had better of both before, but good prices here. Pros: price more

Mama mia, this is a Pizzeria! 8/5/2002

A quaint spot for a Saturday lunch. The walls are beautifully painted and the crowd is light. I ordered the margherita pizza by the slice. By the time I got my drink and settled in it had arrived. Whoa what a slice, the size of 2 or 3 regular slices from the competition. The vegetables were crisp and perfectly arranged. With every bite I got a perfect blend of mozzarella, roma tomatoes, fresh basil and garlic. The crust was light and fluffy don't think about leaving it on your plate. By far the best Pizzeria in Houston. Pros: Great decor, Quick service, Fresh ingredients Cons: Limited seating, Television noise more
