MENTALY ABUSIVE EMPLOYER / BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/17/2010

ok, FOREMALLY employed manicurist who has been with NAIL 2000. I have to let it be known this owner/boss is border line nuts. it's bad enough dealing with her very unproffessional habbits towards customers but also her run down shop which is falling apart on a daily basis and tells the employees to pay for the broke down items or your fired. I can't even explain how she commands the employees because of her foul distusting mouth. This broad needs to be shut down and have her buisness license permanetly suspended. This person is rotten to the core. more

Bad pedicure and not very nice, either... 5/18/2009

I've gotten quite a few pedicures, and unfortunately this place is definitely the worst I've experienced. The usual stuff at the beginning was fine - soak, file, etc - although the filing hurt as she was kind of rough, but that happens sometimes. Pros: Good location? Cons: See review... more

Worst nail experience 11/22/2008

I went to get a french manicure with color tips and I was given the impression it would cost $27. After I got them done she charged me $34 and insisted the list of prices was a mistake and that they would correct it. The french manicure was sloppy and weak. The same night I went home, the top gel layer already started to deteriorate. Outraged, I went back in the next afternoon for a repair and they messed up again by leaving dents and smudges but didn't offer to fix it again. Instead, the man said it was my fault for messing it up under the UV lamp. The UV lamp gives no room for the standard hand size anyways! They didn't offer to repair them after screwing up again. Pros: cheap Cons: poor skills more

Don't Get Your Eyebrows Waxed Here!!! 7/27/2007

2 years ago I went to Nails 2000+ for an eyebrow waxing. I had been there before and they never did a great job but it was always better than what I could do so I would go. But one day I went in to get an eyebrown wax and the girl waxed off the top half of one eyebrow. It was awful. She went ""ooh no I'm sorry"" and did a really half-assed job the rest of the way and at first I felt really bad for her so I was being nice about it but then she made me get up and rushed me outside as quick as she could so no one would see me and my eyebrow and she told me to just leave and basically threw me out because her manager was right there and walked me outside and like basically pushed me in my car so she wouldn't get in trouble. it was so awful and I had half an eyebrow for a solid 2 weeks. thanks nails 2000+ Pros: cheap? Cons: worst place ever more

Worst nail service I have ever had 3/31/2007

I just moved to San Diego and wanted to get a padicure, so I picked this nail place randomly from google. The person who did my padicure accidently cut two places around my toes and they were bleeding. She then poured alcohol on it, and it hurt so bad that I almost screamed. Then I had to endure the lotion, soak, massage and nail polish remover on the cut places before I got my padicure finished. I can't tell her not touch those places because they hurt since she doesn't understand English. This is definitely the most painful padicure I have ever done in my life. The price is also pretty high comparing to the other places I went in Seattle. I definitely don't think this is a good place for padicure. Maybe there are other people in the salon are better qualified but I really don't I want to risk it again. more

Worst Nail Shop in San Diego - Do not give them your business!! 11/13/2006

I have been to this nail shop a couple times (mainly for convenience because it is 2 minutes from my house) and even took my bridesmaids there on the week of my wedding. The ladies who work here are rude and gossip about everyone who walks through the door. I am half Vietnamese and understand everything these ladies talk about. I am utterly embarassed and disgusted that they are of my own race. They are extremely unprofessional and need to realize that there are many people out there who may not look Vietnamese but understand the language. I have not been impressed with the quality of work and I think they overcharge. Please don't give your money to a bunch of ladies who have nothing nice to say about anyone. There are nail shops out there run by Vietnamese people who have class. Cons: say nasty things about their customers more

Great Nails! 10/24/2005

I first found Nail 2000 Plus while on assignment in San Diego in January. Unfortunately I left for Tucson in July, and had a hard time finding ANYONE there that was even NEAR the great work that Tina did. I'm now back in San Diego for another 6 months, and I am willing to travel 30 minutes for my mani/pedi care. I recommend this place to everyone! more
