I can't believe Momo's got bad reviews. I'll admit the decor and presentation are lacking a bit. But, it is truly an authentic italian restaurant (not ""Americanized"" versions that we have come to call ""Italian"").\r \r My husband and I travel to Italy frequently and have become very familiar with the food in Tuscany. Momo's reminds us of a little restaurant we frequent in Florence. The food is authentic - not too heavy, but filling and delicious. They also have a good selection of wines. The waitstaff and manager are very friendly. The restaurant itself is very cozy. My husband go here when we want true Italian food. We highly recommend it. I had eaten here 4 years ago and had a pleasant experience. So I decided to take my girlfriend and Mother here for Mothers Day; and regreted it the moment we walked in. First, it smelled of old fish tank and something I couldn't put my finger on; the music was too loud and too up tempo for the mood and the day. Second, the inside was now painted like a mexican restaurant (orange and yellow). The wood railings stain had been scraped away after much use and never re-stained. The walls at chair level were heavily scuffed. Ambiance = 2 of 10. The waiter/manager was generous in making arrangements for our food when we couldn't decide, (the only plus of the evening).\r When we received our food, there was zero presentation. Pasta was slopped in a bowl, the seafood was overcooked and the red sauce was horrible. I was suprised to find the ravioli however to be quite tastefull.\r Bottom line, Momo's Pasta has seen better days. Terrible Restaurant. I've been here twice and both times the service was *awful*. They weren't even busy and we waitied 45 minutes for our meal, and then couldn't find our waitress again for the rest of the night. Ended up going to the front to ask for a check. We (4) went here for frst time last week. The food was alright, the price is OKAY, but the service we recieved was VERY BAD. I didn't care for the price, but the manager and 2 other waiters (guys) were so rude when we found a long hair in our food. The mgr and the waiters were very rude as we told them abt the hair in the food, they said eat if you want or get out.. It made 4 of us very upset and mad. Well, the place isn't that clean either.
