I actually love to go to this club on thursday night. Its always off the chain. I never leave there mad. I go almost every week. the music is great and so are the staff. The price for wemon are resonable. It would be better if i was 21 tho it would be free all night, but i will definatly say go on THURSDAY night. You wont be disappointed! In my opnion, i believe its a great club for those people who are like myself and love more than just one type of music. i love the salsa, bachata,REGAEE, techno, spanish rock, hip hop, the latest club hits, cumbias, you name it, they play it. i have never had a problem with the staff, there are all types of people as well, and in my opinion, saturday nights are the best nights, there are handsome guys and sexy girls there, its not all ghetto with fights all the time. everytime we go we have an awesome time, and as for the "dirty floor", i really dont care to notice, i walk straight in and have a blast, i dont sit on the fkn floor or wipe my ass or feet with it..im always on the dance floor and make frequent stops towards the bar lol..if you are more worried about the floor than the "ambiente"..then thats too bad, as for me, i love it there..its a really hype place to party and have a good time, the variety of music is awesome, they play everything! more

everytime I go to this club on sundays, I always have trouble finding a parking spot, waiting in line for a long time is something I don't like about this club, because there is always a big big line. I agree with some other reviews in regards to the dirtieness of the carpet floor. As soon as you walk on the carpet floo you feel ur shoes sticking to the carpet. and you would also find drinks on the floor. but I like the rock musiv in there. i had alot of fun the second time i went. the first time wasnt as much fun. ONE thing very crouded. and parking suxx..and if ur single prolly not a good place to go bc all the guys r stalking u or trying to grab u. Be careful where you park!!! I arrived at the club onat about 10:30 on Saturday, June 14 th ad left at 1:30am. I was told by a Club employee who motioned with a flashlight where to park. When I came out my car had been towed!!! According to the tow truck company, I was illegally parked. Cost me $190 to get my car back. Sound like a scam? Was anyone else towed that night? Fun by not classy. Its your regular 18 and up club. Drinks are good. If you can get them. The bar is always full. The music, its okay. I?d love their smaller dance floor if it wasn?t so small! The music in the small floor is tropical. But always to crowded to dance in. The prices are reasonable though. Friday nights is Lady?s night, I think, or it use to be when I use to go there. The worse part about it, is the floor, it is so gross! You feel like walking of gum! more

My work-week ends on Thursdays, so when I get off work I'm ready to party. The only spot I know of, so far that has the feeling of a Saturday Night on a Thursday is Metrop. But ladies, you can't beat getting in for free. And then $2 well drinks all night long. You may have to pay $5 bucks to park. But overall, you can enjoy yourself for about $20 and still have some change to stop by Jack in the Box afterwards. (lol) Music: Hip Hop, Rap and R&B. It's Off Da Muth@%uck!n Chain! I love it. P.S. I was denied entrance to the club because I was told I was out of dress code. The manager and supervisor of the club told me that "women are supposed to dress like women" and if I wanted to gain access I was going to have to change into something tighter. The security officer was too arrogant to be real, considering he was just security!! Perhaps the smirk was because he had just gotten his tongue pierced..whatever!! This spot doesnt let Lesbian Studs in, and I knew that this was true in 2005, as I was also denied admittance then, but this is 2008!! all I can say is free speech is great, and the so is free media! more

I love metro me and my friends go there all the time, its a fun place to go, the music is good the people are nice theres hardly ever any distrubances or fights. when your there you feel like you know everyone. also security is really good i feel safe going there. AS FOR PARKING, I SOMETIMES GO AT 11PM AND THERE'S ALWAYS VALET...IF U WANT PARKING, I SUGGEST YOU GO AROUND 10 PM---BUT THE CLUB GETS GOOD AROUND 11:30 AND UP...AS FOR DRINKS, I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM... So this was my first time at Club Metropolis (on a Thursday), and I ONLY went because it was a special ocassion, and the person running the show chose this club. It was horrible. It wasn't just a "little rough," where you walk in and say to yourself, "Hmm, I may want to rethink coming here next time..." It was more like, "How fast can I get out of here and not get shot in the parking lot?" Parking is HORRIBLE...while looking for a place to park, ppl were parking like 3-4 blocks away and walking-there was NO way I would leave my car that far away in that part of town, nor would I walk that far at night with our small group of good looking girls. We paid Valet $20 to get us a space right by the door-I didn't care what it cost! You walk in thru a metal detector and are even then frisked afterwards. The girls look totally disgusting for the most part, showing their underwear (IF they are wearing any-we had the "pleasure" of encountering a few girls who weren't), and basically wearing lingerie. The dudes were the biggest thugs I have ever seen. When walking in, my friend and I thought we had stepped in gum...after checking the bottom of our heels, there was no gum-it was just the pure nastiness from the carpeted floor. The music wasn't even good dance music-it was super hard rap with a ton of curse words. The women were getting fondled by the men all over the place. To be fair, we didn't have any "run-ins" or problems with anyone at the club, everyone seemed fairly docile inside, but I will NEVER go back there again, or at least on a Thursday night. I went in with a semi-open mind, knowing it would be a little rough, and am very capable of handling myself in situations such as those, but it was 100x worse than I expected. I lived in Houston for 8 months last year, and my cousins took me there for my 21st birthday and I had the best time. It seem like if I was around people that I had known for a long time. They are very friendly, every one treated us great, even the manager / owner's son were hanging out with us for a while. After that I have to admit we became regulars, that was our Sunday's place to hang out. Love the music, rock en espanol. We loved going there cause there was people that we are used to hanging out with Fresas (preppy). Its very crowded, you have to get there before 10. Specially if you are not VIP. I moved back to California not too long ago and I havent found a club like Metro. They dont remember you when ever you go back like they do at Metro. Thats how we call it. Even my cousins want me to go back so we can go party, They are there every Sunday. Pros: Music and People Cons: Long Lines more

ok i went with a group of 5 people, all white. we felt a little out of place. but after getting over tat, we had a lot of fun. it was good times. two bad things tho, its very very crowded, and theres not very much parking at all. Cons: not much parking, very crowded more

Parking is horrible, you almost have to get there right when the place opens. Valet is hell of expensive so only do if there is no parking. DO NOT pay or tip the guys that are wearing valet outfits but are not parking your car, they are just there for looks. The place is real small, a very bad fire hazard. The dance floor is super tiny and there is broken glass all over the floor. The music is all right, they play mostly rock en espanol and techno. OMG, bring sunglasses if stroblights bother you, they over do it. The people are mostly gay men or your casual "fresa". Drinks are super expensive, they really do rip you off. $6.50 for mixed drinks, $4 for long necks, and $3.50 for water. My experiances are always bad but for some reason I keep going back. 1 lets start with parking>theres no parking and when there is they say is valet so they can charge you $ > the valet people are rude and irresponsible as soon as they got on my car they were speeding to park it like if it was a dman race. 2> the tickect people are rude.. they need to get real. Third.. they clain that it is 2 big nithclubs when really there is a tiny one (extrabaganza) and a medium one (metropolis).. in extrevaganza everybody is more than 27... drunk and everybody is smoking... the dance floor is a little circle probably not bigger than your bedroom... and they only play old music Metroplosis.. smells and is too small for all the people they try to fit in there.. .. plus they only play old spanish rock... Pros: waste of money, waste of time, waste of everything Cons: not recomended.., your in for a bad moo, too many cops more

I've have been in most clubs Houston, Chicago and Mexico City, and Metropolis is one the best clubs I've seen, service, music and atmosphere. more
