McFadden's

Oh Lord have mercy. I came here for lunch, and again the same night for some drinking & dancing. The food was absolutely AWFUL. They were out of a lot of items, so i ordered a burger and something on it tasted rotten! My salad was just so-so. it was supposed to be "mixed greens" but it was a plain iceberg lettuce. When we came back for the nightlife, it was like walking into a zoo. There were what appeared to be 15 year old kids dancing and jumping off the tables, throwing GARBAGE in the air. The DJ was horrible! He played awful rap music and insulted all the girls...he told them to get up on the bar and dance and then he said "i dont see one good looking girl up there". He also made fun of heavier girls dancing in front of him. This was the WORST bar/club i have ever been to and you couldnt pay me to go back! more

WKU Campus is empty every wknd as we all make our way to Nashville for DJ Cliffy D. He is the Best DJ EVER !!! He is definately worth it. He is so much fun and his energy is OFF THE HOOK !! We know how to party and where ever DJ Cliffy D is you will find us. more

Its a wonder this bar stays in business, because there are way to many kids drinking. The food is terrible. Music and singers lousy.Definately will not go back. more

It was the worst meal we have had in a long long time..... Last night we stopped there for dinner based on the 4.5 star review and we were extremely disappointed.... the food was so bad that we refused to eat it.... The waiter was nice and I felt bad for him to serve such horrible food... The Fish and chips was lousy and the Hamburger was worst than a 99c burger..... Stay away ... more

This is the sleaziest club/bar I have ever been to. I have been here 3 different times & the experience is the same. They pretty much let people do what they want. People that are already having a seat at the bar are rude & its hard to get the bartenders attention. They let girls dance on the bar like in Wild cats/Coyote Ugly They also let people dance on the restaurant tables which is dangerous & not to mention nasty cause most girls we saw we wearing heels & drunk. The last thing that made me say never going there again! are the people there that are obviously drunk start pushing people & all the security does is just say stop or break it up. Well because security did not break up this one fight a young guy there got knocked out as soon as he stepped out of the bar. His his teeth got knocked out & when he hit the concrete head was busted. The paramedics were still trying to revive him as we were leaving. The security is not good at all for such a rowdy place more

Well I used a gift certificate that I got from the Half Off Depot site. Go check it out in the nashville section. If you bought the certificate which was $10 then you would receive $25 worth of food and drinks from Mcfadden's. Can't hurt to try out this place with that kind of a deal. And your in downtown Nashville! I recommend you check it out now before they're all gone... more

My wife and I went for an early dinner downtown and I decided to try McFaddens because they're advertised on the radio all the time. Maybe this place is a hot party spot but the food was terrible. I got the Bangers and Mash and the sausage was prepackaged plain sausage with cheap instant potatoes. Without the cheese on top the reconstituted potato flakes would have been inedible. It also came with a side of cheap canned peas and carrots. I'm sure you remember the cubed carrots in the 25 cent store brand veggie can. Needless to say You don't want to go for the food. I think my entree was 12 dollars and was worth about 3. Cons: bland food more

I was in Mcfaddens on my last night in Nashville. The bouncers at the front were very interesting, friendly and hilarious! The music was just great! It's not just a typical bar where you drink and socialize. It is definitely a great place to have a great time! The night I was there, The bartenders were giving out free shots to the gals who danced on top of the bar! I'm not sure if they do this all the time, but it was great! As far as Nashville goes, McFaddens is the best bar by far. Like the perfect Irish pub throughout the weekdays it is the perfect place for great food, good company, and drink deals that will leave your wallet looking about the same on the way out as it did walking in. At night on the weekends the lights are dimmed, the music is cranked and the dance floor comes to life. With some of the best bartenders in town, lowest drink prices and different atmospheres to suit what ur particularly looking for in a night or day. McFaddens takes the cake. more

The only place in town doing a lot of the things that they are. I always have fun at McFadden's. With some of the best DJs Nashville has to offer the party is always fun and the music is always great. I definitely make a point to check out McFadden's a couple times a week. Where do I start, Tables were dirty, bathrooms disgusting (toilets nasty& water from sink sprays all over you) I ordered a house salad Out of 3 dressings cheese and croutons. Service was terrible The guy behind bar lacked motivation. I would not recommend this place to anyone. more

Oh boy, I really wanted to like this place. I was in a group of 7 people from all over the US and one Brit; it was our first visit to Nashville. I found several places to eat on this site and enjoyed them all a lot, except for this one. The food was below average. The ambiance was dead, the band was uninspired and the bathroom...God help us! It was gross! I don't know when they cleaned it last, but it appears to be sometime in the 80's. Dirty, plus no toilet paper in one of the stalls. Then there's the sink faucet. OMG the thing sprays right at you! It was crazy. I wouldn't recommend this place to eat and listen to music. Bombed on both in my opinion. Pros: the tvs were nice and big Cons: food, below average music and nasty bathroom more

What an odd experience... we placed our drink order and then perused their menu for a few minutes. We tried to place an order and the server very apologetically advised us they were ""out of the white chili""... we reconsidered our order and settled on the ribs only to learn they were ""out of ribs"" too....the server then proceeded to tell us what else they were out of...which was practically everything listed on their menu! We paid for our drinks and opted to go eat at Jack's instead.... Don't go to McFadden's if you are looking to eat anything other than a hotdog Pros: The hot dogs are ok Cons: They are out of everything on their menu, quality of service is marginal more

As someone who works downtown, I eat on 2nd ave a lot. Every time I visit McFaddens I am disappointed. They are usually out of half the items on their menu, the waitresses (are cute) but that doesn't make up for the very poor service (I ended up walking to the bar for refills every time), and the food is comparable to AppleBee's on a good day but extremely overpriced. The one dish that was OK was the fried pickles. Don't waste your time or money at this place! Pros: Good Fried Pickles, nice TV's and cool ceiling fans Cons: Bad food, bad service and extremely expensive! more

We were in town this past weekend for my sister and her friend's 21st birthdays. We had about 13 people with us and were just walking down 2nd Avenue when a guy from Mcfadden's told us to come in there for their birthdays. We told them we had 13 people with us, and they still let us all in in front of the line. And I'm not sure if there's ever a cover charge, but they didnt charge any of us. On top of that, we get in and the guy who pulled us in gets on the microphone and wishes both of them a happy birthday, and then the bartender gave all 13 of us a shot. That really made our night a good one, and gave them an awesome memory for their 21st birthdays! We stayed there longer than anywhere else. It is a really fun place to hang out and I will definitely stop back in there the next time I am in Nashville. You are guaranteed to have a really great time here. Pros: very nice staff, really fun atmosphere Cons: The only con i can think of is the lady in the bathroom who grabs your hands and puts soap in them and then tells you to ""help her out"" b/c she ""works for tips only"". This is NOT, and I repeat NOT, an irish pub. Mcfadden's is basically Coyote Ugly with some shamrocks thrown around. if that's what you're into, then go for it. But, the fact that the place advertises as a pub, or even Irish, is baffling. more

Upon entering we were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for a table. This was no problem especially when every place else in the area had at least a 45 minute wait. The interesting thing is that once seated there were tons of open tables in our area of the restaurant. We then had to wait 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order, even though the few tables around us were being served. I could see the beer taps but couldn't tell what they had from the distance so I asked what they had on draught and the waitress said just about everything, just name it. Well I could only see about 7 taps and when bars around the corner in both directions have over 80 beers on tap each, then ""about everything"" is quite a claim. When I ordered a dark beer I was served Coors Lite. Then it took another half hour to get the beer I ordered. On the next round I switched to Sam Adams in a bottle (didn't have it on tap). I was served the Summer Ale. The waitress didn't tell me that it wouldn't be the Boston Lager which is a bar standard. She said they only had the season beers which I guess means you shouldn't expect to go there repeatedly and get your favorite beer each time. I drank it because I didn't want to be too picky or wait until the next morning to get another beer. After a very long wait our food finally came and it was barely warm. They offered to take it back but we were starving by that time. The waitress did get the manager to take the Shepard's Pie off our check but the whole experience was so bad there's no way I'll give them another chance. Oh and they suddenly changed the music in the middle of a song and cranked it up instantly over twice the volume it had been. It really seemed like no one there had ever worked in a bar or restauranct before. But if you want to go to a bar where some of the waitresses dress like strippers then this may be the place for you. The 15 year old girl we had with us was offended and so was I. Pros: no pros Cons: all cons more

This was my first time, and I wasn't terribly impressed. It was about midnight and I was expecting a sports bar. There was a cover charge and a dance floor. The DJ was pretty good, but the music was the same booty-dance stuff you hear at any of the ""dance"" places in Nashville. The drinks were overpriced. more
