club is very small everyone stands near the bar, cant get served anything promptly by any means.Everyone thinks your a cop if your not drinking. Way to many dudes there and tired lame old boring format of terrible music night after night after night and week after week and month after month. ppl there are rude,stuck up and act like there something there NOT and DONT have. Drinks are MudderFudding STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I love this bar, the music and service is great, dress code in effect, I always have a great time! Ummmm.. Possibly a bit of a swingers joint but who really cares, fun fun fun and nice nice nice 5 stars! Love it! Door man is really nice too dont know what the other review's are talking about! more

I was looking for a new wine bar to try out and after reading reviews I know I DON'T want to go to Luxe. Sounds like the staff is preferential and not friendly. So many people can't be wrong....think I will head on over to Brix Wine Cellars, they got a lot of good reviews and sounds like I will feel welcome there :-) more

Just moved to the northside of town a couple months ago & I never imagined there was a club like this all the way out here! I've lived in town most my life and love love going out to the many clubs available in the innerloop. I didnt expect to find a place like this on the northside!!! Honestly its one of prettiest places I've seen in houston. Once you step in you feel like you could be in Vegas. You forget its only five minutes from home! I love the fact that there is a place close by that I can get the same atmosphere & type of crowd that I'm used to in town. Prices are reasonable, they have amazing specials during the week. Its just the perfect spot for me and my girls to dress up dance the night away without having to worry about driving 45 mins to an hour to get home. The staff is friendly, they definitely have some very cute male bartenders... ; )They have a really nice patio area with comfy lounge seating for us smokers, the party is just as good out there with the music blasting. I have so much fun at this place, we've booked VIP tables a few times. Sat upstairs & the view of the whole club from up there is great. The DJs are really good, Im really liking the new Friday night DJ, he plays all the new hits but mixes some really good old tracks, love love good house music! I like that during the week its casual but on the weekends they enforce a dress code, keeps a nice crowd. My only complaint is that when the place is packed you gotta wait a little longer to get a drink, but then again this has always been the case at any good club I've been to on packed nights. Soooooo my birthday is coming up & I already booked a few tables, cant wait! Thanks guys for having such a great place on this side of town, its just a blessing not having to drive such a long way or worry about getting home when everything I need is around the corner! more

This place is really nice inside, the waitress's help out a lot, it gets pretty busy, and the bartenders are very nice as well. It's a lot easier to go here and have the downtown experience than to drive all the way downtown. The location is awesome too by the way it's next to to some really nice restaurants and some cool places. more

this place is amazing door guy was great only letting in well dressed guests and making sure the party was fun.drinks were great without downtown prices and bartenders that cared loved the special event that was thrown last sat had a blast. inside is beautiful wiith plenty of room to dance and enjoy myself.i will be back more

This weekend I went to meet a couple friends that were already inside Luxe before midnight. I was dressed in dark blue flat front jeans, brown collar shirt, black dress casual boots with brown stitching... I was told that I can't come in because my jeans are too baggy. The bottom of my jeans didn't even rest on the toes of my shoes! Meanwhile, groups of guys walk in with worn jeans and t-shirts!!! The doorman didn't even ask for ID from them, but of course he already asked for mine. They weren't on the My experience is very similar to others that have recently posted here. Yes I am Black and the people streaming in were White in t-shirts. You make the call! This place SUCKS!!! more

I AM LIVING PROOF THAT PLACE IS RACIST, WHEN PEOPLE IN FRONT OF THAT WEARING CLOTHES LIKE THEY CAME FROM GYM AND YES THEY WERE WHITE, THE DOORMAN LET THEM IN. WHEN I GET TO THE DOOR, OH ITS FOR PARTY GUEST ONLY WTF!!! I reserved a table for 20 for my birthday last night and they gave us a problem from when i walked in. They didn't want to let one of my friends in for tennis shoes but there was 3 white men in track/ tennis shoes and when I spoke to the general manager he said it was because he's shirt was down to his knees which was a lie. Then he said he would make an exception so I spoke to the cocky doorman and he told me that my friend would only get in if ""i like how he looks"". My friend, who is 28, had her expired license with her and she had already been there last week with it she figured it wouldn't be a problem because he was the same door-guy WRONG!! He gave her a full work up and while I was speaking to the manager 3 cop cars just happen to pull up and ask what the problem was. This was very uncomfortable for my friends and I, so after spending $250 we were out the door by 11:30 and going somewhere that welcomes Blacks and Hispanics to spend some money and have a good time. more

Went there with a couple of friends and this place is just a place for white trash to hang out. This one dumb blonde got mad because I didnt want a drink from her. Helllooo, I can buy my own. So the whole night her and her other white trash blonde friend kept trying to start a fight. These 2 white trash girls couldnt accept that I didnt want to talk to them or be their friends. Being the more mature and upscale person that I am I just ignored them. Not a place I would want to hang out. I'm sure I could find more classy females in an escort/prostitue joint. I started going to Luxe two weeks ago for happy hour and I didn't realize it was so cheap!! $2 wine til 8pm and $2 or $3 draft beers! Not only that but the staff is really nice and the Manager made us feel welcome and even bought us shots! I love the place and the music is real upbeat! I definately recommend it to anyone for any occassion! Pros: Great Music, Great Happy Hour Prices, and Daily Speacials more

We recently had a party and reserved the VIP section. Our waitress was great, very friendly & did everything we asked for with a smile on her face. The doorman wouldn't let someone in my party in because he wasn't wearing the proper shirt... but half of the men inside were wearing the same shirts. Then the doorman said ""Well his is Affliction and cost $90"".. who gives a $hit what is cost and what brand it is! It looked the same! Then later on that night he wouldn't let my friend back in for no reason and when she said we've been in VIP all night he just told her she needed to learn to speak to people with authority! You are a doorman.. not king of the world! For what we spent we should of had whoever we wanted in there & the waitress agreed. She was not pleased when we told her what had happened. I'm excited to have a nice and upscale place closer to home to be able to go to. I've been to a few of the other bars in the area and they leave much to be desired. It's absolutely beautiful inside! The staff is all very friendly and they always have smiles on their faces. I've gone there both on the weekends and during the week and it's always fun. They have a great band on Tuesdays. My only suggestion would be to have them play on a Thursday night, more people are off on Fridays. Pros: Nice bar and employees Cons: Haven't found any more

Luxe Bar & Lounge would definitely be a place I'd recommend to all my friends and family for a fun time. I had a great experience and thought the club was absolutely gorgeous! I will be returning very soon:) Pros: Beautiful Venue Cons: none so far more

We had so much fun at Luxe for our monthly ""girls night out""! We didn't even know it was there & were on our way to Brix... good thing we checked it out! it was a Thursday night & Luxe had $4 Grey Goose martinis!!!! We could not resist! 2 Lemon drop martinis later, the DJ started up & we were jammin on the dance floor!!! Next ""girls night"" we are definitely going back to Luxe!! On Saturday February 27, 2010, my brother and I went to the Luxe Bar & Lounge to find out we could not get in. The doorman told us we didn't have reservations and to get reservations we had to buy 2 bottles at $225 a piece. Imagine that. If everyone who attended this bar gave $450 then this place would only need 20 people to survive. My point is this place is not that upscale to get and maintain that kind of cliental, so that is BS. We then got out of line to head back to our car and saw the doorman let in all the people behind us. My brother and I live on Spring Cypress so if you go to their website it states were local people can enjoy downtown without having to go downtown. Obviously we have to go downtown. The interior is gorgeous! Plenty of room to party. During the week they have AWESOME drink specials and it's more low key. Friday and Saturday is crazy busy... make sure you're dressed to impress or you'll have a hard time getting in. As a single guy, I got to give 5 STARS! The women at this place are gorgeous & the door guy does a good job of controlling the crowd to make sure it's not a sword fight. I think I need my own parking spot for this place, you'll find me there every weekend for sure. OH & on Thursdays... they have $4 Martinis & the women love them!!
