My experience here was so ridiculous I had to write a review. My 2nd review ever! Both on this salon because I want to spare the reader my experience.\r \r I wrote a longer review on Yelp. I would give them no stars if that was an option.\r \r Jane was rude and dismissive. All I wanted was for my hair to be blown out straight with a few big loose curls at the ends. Simple. She did the exact opposite of what every other stylist has ever done. (I have my hair styled this way routinely). I can only guess that she wanted take a short cut. She mercilessly pulled on my hair. She did not stop pulling even when she could see that I had to hold my hair close to my scalp to decrease the pain while she was pulling at the ends. \r \r The manager was useless. He did not even do the courtesy of looking at me when I spoke to him. \r \r I left with my head hurting and having paird $70 for a hairstyle I did not want. I have had my hair done at Frederic Fekkai in Los Angeles for $80 and that style felt like a massage and my hair looked amazing for a week. \r \r I wrote a slightly more detailed review on Yelp. \r \r In conclusion, this isn't the only hair place in Boston. Pretty much any place will be better than here! I cannot recommend having your hair done here and definately not with Jane! Pros: cute dog Cons: horrible customer service! Don't go to Jane! more

I have been going to this salon for over 4 years. I get my hair cut and colored by Liz Ouadani, who is simply fantastic! She is experienced, provides tactful suggestions, and always leaves my hair looking great. Liz is very talented, especially with color and is able to provide cuts & colors ranging from the latest trends to classic chic. The salon is modern, it has several rooms, and always seems to be hopping. I highly recommend this salon! Pros: creative, professional, clean more

I needed a new hair stylist in Boston and was recommended by a good friend to go to Karen Flick who works at Salon Luiz. My first appointment was great, Karen listened to why I was unhappy with my hair, she gave me some great recommendations to improve my color, which turned out great. I could not of asked for a better cut and blow-dry and the color and highlights were perfect. I have been going to Karen since, (over a year now) I always laugh and have fun and I have never been happier with my hair. Thank you! more
