Los Feliz Car Wash

Anyone who complains about this car wash clearly has not been to enough car washes in southern california. This place is definitely one of my favorites....I would not give them 5 stars otherwise. Always make my car look brand new. Its sad that all these cynical people leaving comments only do so when something bad happens to them. Whatever happened to people logging on to write about their positive experiences... come on people. more

A few days ago I took my truck over there for a quick wash. It was my first and only time there. I had just had my oil changed and the nice folks over at Easy-Lube had done an amazing job on cleaning my windows. I decided to take the truck in for a wash so they would match the shining windows. When I drove away I noticed a bunch of little specs on the window. I thought they had used a dry cloth and left lint on the glass. No such luck... There are literally a few hundred chips in my front windshield. When I went back to tell the manager, he told me that I probably did that on my own catching a rock or something on the road. I'm currently trying to get a repair out of these guys but I'm not holding my breath. Want a clean car? Do yourself a favor and drive somewhere else. Cons: They chip windshields and don't pay for the damages more

So...I have absolutely NO idea what the reviews below are talking about, but I go to this car wash every week and I have yet to be disappointed....which is PROBABLY why they are so incredibly busy all the time. I love the manager/owner, he is so funny and always keeps customers satisfied. One of the few places that actually has managerial staff that cares what the washers are doing. And like someone else said, it is one of the only places that I can play pac man, get a massage, or eat tasty treats/free coffee while waiting for my car to get washed. I've been to the Los Feliz Car Wash 6 times according to my frequent customer card and I'm disappointed every time. I keep going back to this place like a getting back together with a bad girlfriend, but after today I'm done with this place. My goal was to quickly swing through LFCW this morning to have my around town junker car and my nicer weekend car washed. After handing over my keys I walked through the crappy swap meet of a mini market to go pay my tab. There were several people waiting around the counter but no cashier or manager to be seen.. Then I saw him... The Manager / Owner / Whatever was running around the lot. Barking orders at his employees, throwing dirty rags in the washing machine and even stopping to Armor All someone's tires. He finally came in and processed my ticket. When I pulled out my AMEX Card he started complaining that they charge to much and he was going to stop taking them. When I pulled out a Coupon that would make my bill $7.99 he said I could not use my card for less that $8.99, he ended up charging me another $1. When I took my other car in half an hour later the place was a wreck. He was still running around like a maniac jumping from job to job, cars were backed up in the wash line, they were way understaffed. I followed the progress of my second car's wash. They never even touched the front of the car or most of the hood with a soapy rag. It took forever to get a guy to dry the car and I ended up having to wipe down the front and hood myself to remove the dirt and grime. I didn't dare ask for a re wash, it would have meant another hour in this below standard joke of a car wash. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I've also lost time, wages, and money by bringing my poor car to this CR*P car wash. Its now been 3 months and the owner has not paid for the damages my car suffered. To be specific, the damages are worth $1,500. And even after taking the owner to court, and having a judgment ruled against him, I have yet to receive a penny. more

Bad service all around. The rain does a better job of cleaning my car than this place and without any hassles!!! more

I got my ipod stolen by one of the guys working on my car. The manager couldn't care less and didn't help. When the police showed up, he admitted that there had been many cases of his workers stealing stuff like ipods, cameras, etc. Yet he has done nothing to fix the problem. BEWARE! more

Warning! Thieves! My ipod was stolen from my car. I can't trust workers there. Also I got really bad job washing car as well. more

I took my car to these guys regularly and they did an ok job. However, on my last visit they left a 3"" long scratch/dent on one of my doors. I immediate asked to talk to the manager, who immediately denied any responsibility. After a few days of back and forth between various managers at the car wash, during which time I was alternately told they would or would not repair the damage... including phone calls... bringing the car in twice... and hours of hassle... they ultimately DID NOTHING! So, not only did they damage my brand new car... they then wasted HOURS of my time before NOT fixing it. Incidentally, to give you an idea of how severe this ""scratch"" was... repairing it cost me almost $400! DO NOT GO TO LOS FELIZ CAR WASH!! more

The only car wash I know of where you can play Ms. Pac Man, buy ceramic ladybug earring holders AND get a rough $5 massage from a vibrating leather La-Z-Boy recliner. As for your car, they do a nice, quick job on interior/exterior tidying-up. The weekday rate saves you $2, so aim for M-Th. Pros: video games, friendly staff Cons: massage chair more
