If you are going to the Village for beer, then be sure to stop by Little Woodrows. It has beer specials for every day of the week - some not so amazing and others that are pretty good deals. The crowd is not so bad either. I was expecting more of the "prep" and "jock" type, but in reality you have a nice blend of people - old and young, trendy and laid-back. Parking may be difficult on busy nights - as is the case with all of the bars in the Village that do not have their own lots. But you are bound to find a spot that is not very far away.
If you want liquor, of course, Little Woodrows is not the place to go. However, the Village location gives you a chance to be smart (as much as that is possible while going out at night) with your spending. Woodrows has cheaper beer than the other places in the village, so if you want liquor before/after having some beer, there are bars next door that can serve you.
The staff is attentive and does its job. No complaints there. It does not seem like a place for great conversation though. As much as I have a tendency to eaves-drop on other people's conversations, I can't think of anything especially interesting while there. Still, overall, this is a good bar.
Pros: Cheap beer, good variety, competant service, good location.
Cons: Parking is limited
