Awesome food and margaritas! 1/13/2009

Went to this restaurant for the first time and loved it! Since the owner is the creator of the frozen margarita machine, we had to try one of their margaritas. Had the Papas Margarita...handmade with lime and sugar and top tequila! Excellent taste! Server talked me into getting the Cilantro Snapper, a new item at this restaurant. Very tasty and fresh. Heard the fajitas were very tender as well but didn't try them! Overall, the service was great! Atmosphere was very friendly and down home. Servers were nice and acted happy to be there. Manager was very helpful! Definate place to visit! Pros: service, food and atmosphere Cons: parking more

Great fajitas and fun atmosphere 11/18/2008

I have gone to two of La Hacienda Ranch's locations, Lewisville and the N. Dallas (on Preston). I have made multiple visits and each time I've had great experiences. The setting is energetic and fun with high ceilings and an old western lodge feel. The fajitas are by far some of the best in Dallas that I've had. The combination fajitas are the perfect order with a mix of tender beef and chicken. I would also recommend the apple pie/cinnamon ice cream for dessert. (They make their ice cream homemade.) The service is consistently upbeat and friendly. If you have folks coming in from out of town (and even better, if they are from out of state), La Hacienda is a fun, lively place that can seat large groups if needed and can deliver the goods with a wide variety menu and delicious food... highly recommended! Pros: Service, Food, Fun Atmosphere Cons: Limited locations more

Awful food 6/28/2008

I was so excited to go to this restaurant because everytime I drove by it was packed. I read the positive reviews online and decided to try it out. When I first walked in I had to adjust my eyes since the place was SO dark. We sat down and ordered margaritas and queso. As we were waiting we tried out the chips and salsa. The salsa was awful and had no taste at all, however, the chips were decent. The queso was brought to us in a timely fashion but it was another dissapointment. Again, there was little taste despite the ground beef and sour cream mixed in. We waited for our margaritas and the waitress came to tell us they would be ""just one minute"" b/c the bartender was busy with to go orders and couldn't pour them for us. The funny thing is that they are poured out of a machine into a glass, how hard it that? On top of that, when we finally got them they tasted like they were made out of a can. Not satisfactory. We then ordered our meal and the fajitas were decent but the tortillas came cold and tasted like the tortillas you get in the grocery store and just dipped in butter. While the waitress was serving our food her hands dipped into the beans and rice and she had to bring us a new plate. Stay away from this restaurant. It is a waste of time, energy and money! It is way overpriced!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: good for large parties Cons: awful service, food and way overpriced. more

AMAZING MARGARITAS, STEAKS, & FAJITAS! 8/4/2007

my husband and I have been going to La Hacienda Ranch since it opened 3+ years ago. It is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Texas. The service is %99.999 good with only a few mistakes in 3 years. the atmosphere is amazing the music, walls, ""trophy room"" and my favorite the talking and moving dear head. another thing i love about La Hacienda is the fact that they have a party room, we did our daughters rehearsal dinner there and it was fantastic.\r i don't usually take the time to write reviews for places but this is truly a awesome place to eat. Pros: the owner invented the frozen margarita machine Cons: there not open 24 hours more
