This Kroger is by far the worst grocery store I've ever been to; if it wasn't the only grocery store within walking distance, I would never go back. The employees are consistently rude to customers or simply unengaging. The deli counter is particularly bad (Ruby, especially), showing attitude towards customers, belittling them and acting sour and upset at having to do their jobs. Even one of Kroger's employees complained that she was lazy, didn't do her job, and that the only reason she was kept on staff was because of tenure. Cashiers are usually busy in their own conversations; too busy to do their jobs, or even acknowledge their customers in line. This has improved slightly as of late, but is hit or miss depending on the time of day. The produce is inconsistent: some days it will be fresh, some days it will be old (to the extent that there is mold growing). If you go looking for something partiuclar, don't expect it to be stocked every time. Entire sections of produce will be empty. Specialty items are few and far between. The parking lot is always littered with empty shopping carts, and the employees are often taking 'joy rides' in the disabled shopping carts instead of (you guessed it!) doing their jobs! On top of all of this, their labeled prices are never consistent with what the register rings up. We have to remember the prices of all of our items and then argue with the cashier and have them do a price check to get our items at their advertised prices. The entire store, save for a handful of people, needs an attitude check. If they don't like doing their job, then they should quit and give us all a much needed break from their immaturity and poor work ethic.
Pros: walking distance to my house
Cons: employees, produce, correct prices, unusual items
