There are not many nights that I find myself bar-hopping over near Union Station, however, very recently I decided to try Kelly's Irish Pub over by the Northeast section of D.C. What looks like a nightly hangout for some regulars, this bar reminds me more of Philadelphia than Washington D.C. The staff here is very friendly and it seems like everyone is pretty laid back and low-key. We hosted a private drinking party in their basement which was very private and accommodating for our crowd. Refered to by some as the ""Dungeon of Love"" this basement party floor might not be suitable for any political events in the area, but if you are looking to get drunk in a space that resembles an old frat house basement Kelly's Irish Times is your place! The main floor has a large bar and a few tables for eating. Compared to other places in the area, you might not stop here for fine dining, but if you want a fun laid back Irish bar, I recommend stopping in.
