For the one who wrote the boring review....Dude-jabu's is anything but boring. To compare it to Solo or McMinnemans is crazy. 1) Jabus has Buck hunt, Ms Pacman, Darts, Pool, megat...

Worst

Very disappointed with service here. Our drinks were abruptedly taken away with out the option of finishing them. Staff was extremely rude. I will never return here even though...

Very Rude 12/31/2008

Very disappointed with service here. Our drinks were abruptedly taken away with out the option of finishing them. Staff was extremely rude. I will never return here even though I live just a couple blocks away. I can't believe how poorly I was treated here. more

Anything but boring 10/28/2008

For the one who wrote the boring review....Dude-jabu's is anything but boring. To compare it to Solo or McMinnemans is crazy. 1) Jabus has Buck hunt, Ms Pacman, Darts, Pool, megatouch, bingo, trivia, a jukebox, 15 microbeers on tap...do I need to go on. The bartenders know a majority of the customers by name. The drinks are stiff, the glasses are ice cold, and the conversation is always good. Solo is a great bar, however it is geared towards the performance crowds. It has art on the wall and a DJ on occasion. For god's sake-Mcminemans is a family restaurant!!! I suggest if you are going to write a review to put a little bit of relevance with it. It is unfortunate that you have been turned off by jabu's. It is a great bar with good bartenders and owners who really care about preserving the neighborhood bar experience. However, if jabus lost business to a customer who would rather hang out with 10 year olds and coloring books at a family restaurant down the street on a Friday night -then so be it. You can find me on the Buckhunt game with a jager and cold micro beer in hand. Pros: Buckhunt, darts, megatouch, bartenders, dog friendly, High Life in a bottle Cons: Bathrooms need some work more

Normal, friendly, tolerant people, tasty food, good service 9/19/2008

I don't make it to Seattle often, but when I do, I stop by this hip, cozy venue. Pros: queen annes locale, quick bar, friendly people, familiar faces, pool table, two parts from which to choose your comfort level more

Let's Party! 9/1/2008

I just recently visited the area and loved the idea of a neighborhood pub. Great beer, great atmosphere, great location, great service. Love the magnets!! more

Tons of Cheap Easy Chicks 9/1/2008

This bar is full of chicks!! And I think they are desperate so all you frat boys who can't get lucky with the hot ones at Pesos you should come here because it is like shooting fish in a barrel. I can't tell how lucky I got Bumbershoot weekend. Well I could but you should go there and find out yourself. This bar doesn't take any bs especially from the law. You can pretty much smoke right at the door. The smoking patio is right off the entrance so they are sticking it to the man with the 25 foot rule. Yes Jabu's keep breaking the law. YOU ROCK!!!! I can't wait to tell all my fraternity brothers all about this place. I think this is going to be our new weekend hang out. Pesos you can keep your snobby chicks, at Jabu's the chick bought me a drink. Plus my friend got so wasted I have no idea how he made it home. Pros: Easy Chicks more

LOVE THIS BAR 8/27/2008

I love this bar.It is a great bar if you are a local of Queen Anne or are just passing through. There are several reasons why Jabu's is my favorite.First-stiff drinks, friendly bartenders, and a great neighborhood atmosphere.I love stopping in on Thursdays for bingo. Jolene, the bingo lady,is really funny and has great prizes. Emily is friendly with great smile. She even pours your pitchers for you. I have been to alot of bars in Seattle and have never seen a bartender give this level of pitcher service!Phil has a great open mic night.Charlie is their newest addition. He is really friendly and cute too!The owners,Stephanie,Miesha, and Jessica have worked really hard to turn the bar around and continue with the Jabu's Tradition-great beer, friendly bartenders, great atmosphers, and the wall of picture. As for stacey who wrote the comment below. I was there the night you and your friends were kicked out.You and your friends were abnoxious and belligerent. It is actually the law to cut off individuals who are intoxicated/ belligerent. Again another great reason why I enjoy going to Jabu's Pub- great drinks, friendly bartenders, and the staff does not put up with abnoxious belligerent drunks. The regulars at the bar agreed that you were being belligerent and needed to be cut off. Unfortunately, belligerent drunks get really upset when they get cut off.As for the storm games,it a fun crowd.I have on several occassions shared a good karaoke song with a storm fan.I have even seen S. Bird and other Storm team players sit at the bar on several occasions! On regular evenings you can always rely on a friendly face, good people, and a cold glass of beer. The owners like to do alot of fundraising for things such as animal rescue and ALS so you never know what kind of fun night you might have. However, I always have a great time.I think that is why Jabu's has had such as loyal following for the past 6 years and will continue to even after the Storm season is over and the Storms leave for Oklahoma. Pros: Great bartenders, dog friendly, good food, 15 local beers on tap Cons: Would like a drink menu more

Avoid if you like to have a good time and cut loose. They don't allow it here. 8/27/2008

My friends and I were her on a Tuesday night trying to let loose a little and have a good time. Ok we get a little loud but since we were the only customers why not, it's not like we were going to chase anyone off. But for some reason the Cook/Owner was having a problem with it. She kept running out of the kitchen telling us to be quite. Don't get me wrong I thought it was a bar, but maybe not to her. We asked her if she would like to have a seat and join us because there was no reason for her to be in the kitchen since we weren't eating just drinking. Some how asking her to join us made her even more mad. She threw us out for being loud in an empty bar. Now I know I am not a bar owner, but I do know if you want to keep your paying customers you shouldn't throw them out for being loud. We are the neighborhood locals but now we will be avoiding this bar. Sad to say I haven't seen any of the locals in there at all. Maybe they had the same fate we did. Jabu's was a nice neighborhood bar, but now that the Storm Game crowd has taken it over who wants to go there. Hell those people already sell our neighborhood parking now I have to go have a beer with them too. No thanks. I think I will go down the street where they let their customers have fun, instead of being told to leave because of it. Just to let you know Honey, the Storm season is almost over. Where are you going to get your customers from now? Pros: Has great bartenders Cons: The owner may throw you out for being loud more

Very Comfy Bar! 8/27/2008

Because I'm kind of a perv, I do enjoy using the magnet letters and words to write inappropriate phrases and the like on the giant metal wall at Jabu's. I also enjoy their beer selection and stiffy drinks. yum! Jabu's has become a fun and comfortable place for me to hang out the last year or so and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to enjoy a comfy, down to earth bar for a bite and a drink. The bartenders are friendly and don't pour light. If we compared Jabu's to other QA bars much in the same way we would compare bosoms, I would say that Jabu's is firm, of good size and girth, but not overly so, and has GREAT nipples. And I like the pool table! Pros: great staff, tasty drinks Cons: the faucet in the girls' room more

Cheers in Queen Anne 8/26/2008

Jabu's is somewhere you go to feel comfortable and at home. The atmosphere is quite a bit like cheers and after a few trips the employees treat you as friends, which then lends to great service! I like the choice of beers and recently they told me they're updating the wine list! The food is great, hand cut fries especially, and I hear that the cook owns a catoring company which explains the tasty food. It's become a regular place to visit on my rotation! Pros: Friendly Service - Cheers-like atmosphere Cons: Would love more food options as existing food is great more

Great place to hang with friends 8/26/2008

I frequent Jabu's often and enjoy it all the time. There is an eclectic crowd; from regulars, theatre goers and sports fans. Two floors, one for an intimate dinner another big enough for a party, DJ or just a drink and dinner. Three big TV's for sports. The food is amazing, though a little spendy. Trivia night, bingo and live music plus special events. Great place to share a drink with friends, eat or just get hammered. The service is great. Pros: Great food, easy going, fun atmosphere Cons: needs a bigger beer selection more

Best neighborhood pub! Great bartenders! 9/16/2007

I have never had a bad experience at Jabu's. It doesn't matter what day of the week or what time of the day the staff makes you feel welcome and are there to show you a great time. The beer selection is great ! The regulars are always friendly and the bar attracts people from all walks of life. Never a dull moment at Jabu's. I just experienced my first Sunday morning breakfast this morning and the food is cheap, large portions and tasted like grandma cooked it herself! Football and good food! You can't go wrong! more

Good times were had 6/29/2005

I've driven by this bar many times over the last couple years, but finally made a stop in while on a walk. What was supposed to be one beer turned in to many and my friend and I had a great time. They had a good beer selection and full bar. The bartender was friendly, seemed to know a lot of the other customers and was actually willing to chat it up. There are two sections of the place, which I never knew before going in. One side is really small, the other was larger with a pool table and TV's. It seemed to be a locals bar, but willing to let others in. I will be going back again! Pros: location, prices, people Cons: small menu, smoke more

Mmmm Beer! 6/8/2005

Alcohol and cigarettes? What's not to like? Oh did I mention beer. Pros: Alcohol, Cigarettes, Locals more
