'Colonic Hydrotherapy: Cleaning up the aftermath of Lyme Disease Treatment'
Being a healthcare professional, I have done extensive research on how to utilize an integrative approach for the treatment of my lyme disease. In the mainstream medical field, I am being treated by an expert infectious disease doctor who specializes in treatment of Lyme Disease. His unique approach to treatment includes various high doses of antibiotics, which are essential in combating the ever-mutating micro-organisms that are ravaging my central nervous system. Although, he stresses the importance of probiotics, I have never been told or encouraged by any doctor to use alternative methods, such as herbal supplements or hydrocolon therapy. SO, in October 2010, I decided to research colonics. At first, I was mortified by the thought of doing such a procedure, but then I found the website for Intestinal Fitness. I was impressed by how educational and organized the information was presented. So, I nervously called to make an appointment. When I walked into the office, I immediately felt at ease. I noticed how clean the office was, but just as importantly, Rebecca and Gabrielle, were extremely professional, informative and personable. I was still a bit nervous about the procedure but Gabrielle really took time to ensure that I was comfortable and relaxed. She validated my thoughts on the importance of ridding my body of all the toxins from the antibiotics and the "die-off" of the bacteria. She was so passionate about educating me on the importance of nutrition, probiotics, herbal supplements and how colonics will help clean up the aftermath of all the antibiotics. I routinely schedule a colonic after my treatment cycles. Doing so has made a huge impact on my quality of life in that I feel more energized and healthy. This procedure helps to restore balance of good flora in my intestines, reducing yeast infections and helping to rid my body of toxin overload! "Gabby" and Rebecca have been a great support system for me over the last year.
