If you're looking for the best coffee or espresso in the city, look no further. Intelligentsia has the best coffee around, not to mention amazing baristas. Head to Lakeview for a latte with art on it, or a cup of amazing coffee. If you're not in the mood for coffee, get some of their iced teas! Highly recommended. Excellent! 5/8/2005

I mail order from NYC, nuff said. Black Cat Espresso Blend is fantastic. One of the few coffee shops to date when they roast your coffee on the package. I order 5 or 6 pounds at a time and freeze. Very prompt mail order service. A+ more

Best coffee! 8/19/2004

Definitely some of the best coffee I've had, and it's quite possibly the best in Chicago. This is probably the reason it made USA Today's Top 10 Coffee Shops list. It's a pain to get to, and there's limited parking, but it's well worth the trouble in my opinion. Just don't park in the parking lot behind the nearby restaurant -- I learned the hard way not to do that. Pros: Coffee, Ambience more

Getting my morning coffee here has spoiled me! I can hardly bear to drink the brews elsewhere. Try the Black Cat blend. Absolutely wonderful aroma and rick taste. more
