Heights Station Antiques is a must if you're in the area 8/27/2009

Love browsing around the big place, I always find a treasure or two. I will recommend this to all. Take your time looking at everything as you might miss something. They also have sodas there for 50 cents if you are thirsty. When I'm in the area I must always stop in. more

Heights Station is a one of a kind, charming antique shop. 10/3/2006

Lots of grandma's old stuff reasonably priced. The great old building qualifies as an antique. I like the idea that something is always on special and many if not most of the prices are negotiable. Nice stained glass, furniture, books, nic/nacs and whatever. The dealers are friendly and helpful but they leave you alone to look around on your own. There's something new every time I go there and I was told that new merchandise comes in almost every day. Plan on spending at least an hour or more. There's lots to see and you'll miss a lot if you just dash through. Oh yeah, and they're open every day of the week! Pros: Right on Heights Boulevard about half way between the Westheimer and Heights antique centers. Cons: Summertime it's hot but spring and fall are comfortable times to go. more

Charming building-Great prices-Friendly people 8/30/2006

This shop is a hidden little gem. Heights Station is a co-op and there are around 7 different dealers, with different tastes, yielding great variety. You might have to dig alittle but you will find all sorts of treasures, old and new, vintage and antique. The place has a great atmoshere for antique hunting, as it used to be an old carriage house and is right next to working railroad tracks, very charming. It is almost like you have stepped back in time. The folks there are very accommodating and helpful. It is off the beaten path, but well worth a stop and the prices are very reasonable. Pros: great prices- friendly helpful shop owners Cons: no airconditioning but lots of fans more

Antique treasure hunting 8/4/2005

Once an old rail station, as evidenced by its location right by the railroad tracks in the heights, Heights Station Antiques is one of my favorite antique stores for an impromptu afternoon browse. It is set up like a consignment shop, with different dealers setting up their wares in different areas, so you never know what you might find... also you never know how things will be priced, which can be good or bad. Items range from beautiful old furniture pieces, collectibles and china, to quirky old toys, records, and cool vintage sewing patterns. Definitely worth a stop on your way to 19th street. Sometimes it gets pretty hot in there during the summer, so be prepared or wait until the softer seasons. more
