Video games galore 6/7/2010

This place can be good for kids during daytime hours or fun for adults late at night. Many of the better rides are no longer there, if you have been in the past the hot air balloon ride was not to be missed. There are still many, many video games including some that give you tickets like skeeball and others that let you try something you wouldnt normally do like driving a big rig, or snowboarding. It can easily kill a few hours of time downtown and kids love it, but some adults get bored easily. Games are played using a card system so it is harder to stop in and just play a game. Cards must be purchased for 2$ as well and then have money added on to them. Bar and restuarant area are nice and a welcome break from video games after a few hours. It can be fun to look out from the upstairs and watch the die hard gamers down below. Keep your eyes out for times when prices are cheaper or are all inclusive as this makes it much affordable. Pros: pinball, variety, bar, open late Cons: adds up fast, old rides gone more

Fun games, dirty facility 2/21/2008

The games they have are fun although lot of the games were out of service. Prices were not bad at all. They are open late, which is nice. The bathrooms were filthy, we left earlier than planned so we could use a clean bathroom. Pros: Fun games Cons: Many games out of service, dirty bathrooms more

Don't go in World Sport Grille 10/9/2007

I'm sure Gameworks is fun, but don't even think about eating or drinking in World Sport Grille. Maybe they're just new, but I don't think I've ever received worse service. I was with a party of about 10 people and we received no service unless we went to the bar. Meanwhile, other tables received food and drinks, but we were ignored. When we were finally able to get a servers attention, we were told the kitchen was closed due to an emergency. But somehow, other tables were still able to order and be served. It took 20 minutes of waiting at the bar to close a tab only to have it thrown at me. And two days later the charge showed up with an additional $9 tip added. I guess the bartender felt they did a better job than I thought they did. more

Eat, Drink, Play Games, and be Merry! 6/6/2007

Gameworks provides a great space for gatherings big or small. I just organized an event for 100-200 people and it went flawlessly. The Gameworks staff worked with all our requests and were extremely accomodating. more

Great place for group outing 6/4/2007

If you want a place that is fun, energetic, with good games, great drinks, and a variety of bar style food, head to GameWorks! There is a wide variety of games and getting a game card is great because you can walk away and have credit for next time if you don't spend it all on Air Hockey! Head upstairs to the lounge and order a pitcher (huge pitchers, by the way), some appetizers (pizza, nachos, and chicken fingers were great), and watch the game on the many tv's suspended on the wall. This is the place to go for a group, team, family, or even a date -- just don't get too competitive with each other. Pros: Large space, great food, large pitchers, fun environment Cons: can't drink while playing games more

Dinner, drinks...and a little hot-air-ballon ride! 5/30/2007

I would come here just for the games, but my softball team and I had a great time here the other night doing a happy hour hang out. We had great appetizers and drinks, and it was ok to be that slightly loud group here. Then we got game cards and it was one competition after another...yes even Dance Dance Revolution! HA! It was a great bonding/fun time for the crew! more

Great Evening 8/7/2003

Had a blast. Some of the lines were long, but they had a host for the evening that interacted with the guest and brought the experiance to a new level. I also won one hour of game play...YEAH. more

Horrible 9/26/2002

I would not reccomend going to gameworks to anyone. Expensive games, bad food, poor customer service, bad layout, expensive parking, long waits, old games. This place is the pits, ecspecially on thursdays. Pros: old games Cons: Poor customer service, Expensive parking, expensive games more

Gamer's World 9/20/2002

A great place to just relax and have fun. They had up to date game along with great classics. When you're done playing they havea restraunt/bar with excellent food. Only thing I could think of to make it better is if they reatiled videogame consoles and games. Pros: Fair Prices, Decent Parking Cons: No Videogame Retail more

Game Over 6/21/2002

Most of the games in this joint are outdated or out of order, and the newer ones have players who just sit on them, so no one else gets a chance. (This is also the main problem with Ladies Night.) What a horrible experience. Cons: crowded, old games, mean staff more

Best for Big Kids 5/19/2002

If you're between the ages of 10 and 15--or occasionally like to act like it--GameWorks is a great way to spend a rainy Seattle afternoon. I visit family in Seattle several times a year, and the young and young-at-heart in our crew love to cut loose on the multiplayer games, air-hocky table and skeetball lanes. It's not supercheap, but it's always been worth it. Pros: Air hockey!, Good games Cons: Pricey more
