The food was ok, good. Not great. The service was terrible.

Ok food and terrible service 8/29/2011

The service is really what drags this place down more than anything else. The food is decent but nothing that special. Two thumbs down..... more

good food 2/19/2011

Would recommend this restaurant. good food, but the parking is horrible more

Poor service, sub-standard beef 6/2/2010

We arrived before going to the theatre. Service was lackluster and the beef was gristle quality. If you want to try different kinds of sake they have quite a collection, but if you want good beef go somewhere else! more

I love this place! 1/27/2010

I eat here every time I go to the Paramount Theater which is pretty often to see shows over the last few years and this place is so fast and the food is really good! Just went again had tickets to Xanadu and the server was so friendly and fast and we ate like $60 worth of sushi ...we were really in the mood LOL and it all came out fast and fresh! They make good drinks here too! This place is always packed so make a reservation and far as I am concerned if your going to a show at the Paramount try this place!! Yum! Pros: Great Sushi and Service! Cons: Make sure you make a reservation more

Avoid this restaurant 8/19/2009

On a recent visit my appetizer arrived AFTER I had finished my entree. I complained about the service and I was asked to leave the restaurant and not return. Cons: Terrible Service! more

Dissapointed 5/29/2009

A friend and I decided to take our best friend to Dragonfish for her birthday dinner.(we had never been before.) Pros: pretty good food Cons: horrible service, bad portions of food for the price more

Poor service 4/20/2009

I was really excited to come try this place out and I finally had the chance to. When I got there everything was fine at first than I began realizing the slow service and the slow manager working at the time. Trying to get the waitress's attention was a nightmare! Pros: decoration, 30% off tab Cons: slow service, unimpressed menu more

Great Happy hour!! 12/18/2008

Great place to get sushi! I am always looking for places that have sushi and have other options as well for my husband who does not eat sushi...this place fit the bill! The food was great and the atmosphere was 'upscale cozy'. Get there early, the happy hour seating fills up fast! Pros: Great happy hour variety Cons: Waiting for a seat more

Way Overrated! 5/25/2008

First of all the staff was horrible. The server ran to our table & started speaking even before he reached us speaking at a 1000 words per second. His first line was ""what would you like?"" in .2 seconds. Feeling rushed, I quickly ordered & he bolted off faster than he even arrived. Pros: Fried ginger chicken was tasty & decent sized Cons: Tiny sushi rolls were premade hours before & were soggy & hurried impassionate service more

Best Happy Hour 12/3/2007

I like going to this place for happy hour when I'm in downtown. Last week I went there and the bartender recommended this new beer called Pandan Ale. It's very tasty and unique! Look for the Buddha handle. more

packed but fun 11/20/2007

The place can be empty or insainely packed. Nosh is small, but tastes great. Bartenders know what goes where & why, but seemed a tad out of it, to me. I had a good time soaking it all in. Pros: staff & location Cons: rest room on another floor with no stairs more

So-so restaurant, but worth a try 11/11/2007

My husband and I stayed at the Paramount Hotel, and so tried the Dragonfish Cafe twice during our stay. We went for dinner on Friday night, the wait was short, but the noise inside was almost intolerable. (Okay, I had a migraine, but still, you couldn't even have a conversation without screaming.) My husband's steak was very good, but it was a small portion served with nothing else but onion slices. My cashew chicken was great, spicy without scorching, great sauce and nice vegetables, but the crispy noodles were strange and unsatisfying altogether. We spent $55 for 2 small entrees and a Coke- a little pricey for what we got, in my opinion. Pros: location and diverse menu selection Cons: price, unbearably loud techno music in the evenings more

Not the best 11/9/2007

Dragon fish has so-so food with a great atmosphere. The people there are friendly but the food is not so great. If you are really in the mood for asian food, avoid this place because this is expensive and lots of the food has lots of salt. So overall, great for meeting up with friends but the food is not the best. Pros: Great atmosphere Cons: Poor food. more

Meal not at all as described on the menu 11/5/2007

I ordered, ""SESAME CRUSTED AHI TUNA - hichimi pepper crusted ahi seared rare and served with mixed green salad, scarlet orange vinaigrette and cilantro aioli."" What I got was lumps of raw ahi, not at all seared, no pepper crust at all. The so called salad was a mound of cooked greens of an unidentifiable type, possibly even seaweed. There was some kind of hot peppers on the greens. There were little mounds of rice and some crackers. No vinaigrette of any kind. No aioli of any kind. Nothing on the menu even vaguly resembles what I actually received. Had I wanted unassembled sushi, I would have ordered it. I didn't. I prefer my fish at least slightly cooked. I was with a group of new acquaintances though and didn't want to make a fuss. So I just ate it. Nevertheless, I certainly won't be going back. Is it really too much to ask to get what I ordered? It would be one thing to just make a mistake and give me the wrong dish, but they actually made up something completely new that's not even on the menu! Cons: food was nothing like the menu description more
