Outstanding Diesel Repair 12/10/2011

Dr. Diesel offers 'Outstanding Service' at a fair price! They installed my new injectors and provided valuable owners information. Dr Dan and Technician George are very knowledgeable and are experts at VW TDI and other auto diesel engine maintenance. I highly recommend them for any diesel (biodiesel) service you need! They also carry parts and supplies for TDIs. I recently picked-up some brakes lights for my TDI. Thanks, Al more

Great Diesel Repair Shop! 11/1/2011

Dr Dan was easy prompt to return phone calls, easy to talk to, and did the job for a reasonable price in a couple of days. Nice to find a diesel shop so close and good! more

The WORST Customer Service EVER! 4/5/2011

Dr. Dan's is listed as a certified diesel repair shop under the DOL's emission testing list. The problem is, after you've had him work on your vehicle and you've paid him, he will then tell you that he will not sign off on your paperwork and that he isn't sure if he is still certified! And he will tell you that he told both you and your husband that on the phone when indeed he had not. Dr. Dan almost had me in tears, he was so rude to me when I went in to simply get a signature, not knowing that he had a hidden agenda of not wanting any failed emission tests under his name and humiliating me by saying I was obviously ready to ""lose"" my vehicle (what does that even mean?!) and all I cared about was my registration. Well, yes! That's why we paid him to fix the thing! I will NEVER go back to this very rude, arrogant bully of a man man and recommend that you don't either. Not to mention he is never in the office and keeps whatever hours he feels like keeping. If there were negative stars I would do a negative rating on this place. Stay away... more

Horrible isn't even the beginning of it 8/12/2008

I went to Dr. Dan's from the review I read and from all the green stickers I see on the cars that buzz around town. I was really curious. Dan is absolutely RUDE! He seemed like he had little patience to explain why I had to pay more for my diesel. I also wanted to get a quote on my car for repairs and he just said I should drop it off and he would fix it then give me a price when it's done. I'm tired of going to repair shops that try to jip me out of my money. Once you?ve picked a repair shop and need their services, you need to get an estimate and know your rights. An estimate should be given in person if it costs more than $100. Once you have received your estimate, the repairs cannot cost over 10% of the estimate without your prior approval. In most cases, the repair shop can keep your car until you pay your bill. However, you can take your car if the following things have happened: if during the face-to-face contact there wasn?t a written estimate given, if the charges were more than 110% without your approval, and if the repair shop did not post a sign stating ?your customer rights.? There are NO CUSTOMER rights posted in his shop, and I really felt like I was going to get ripped off with out seeing a physical quote. His choice to not wear a shirt at his business is his choice but I as a consumer will now choose to get my biodiesel from a little dispenser around the corner that is right next to another repair shop. I don't need to deal with a short grey haired guy who's just a complete a--hole to his clients. Pros: Nothing Cons: Dan more

Evnironmentally sound green business 6/11/2008

Fuelwerks introduced biodiesel to the Puget sound in 2001. Dan goes out of his way to sell locally made biodiesel. He refuses to sell any kind of fuel which is produced with foreign oil even if it would save him money. He is quite knowledgeable about biodiesel events and constantly keeps up to date on changes in the industry. Next to his biodiesel business he owns a repair facility. He is very knowledgeable about any kind of make and model. He also has a technician there who specializes in Volkswagen, mainly TDi's and older diesels like the ones that came in Rabbits. He chooses to only work on diesel powered vehicles but you could possibly get some advice about your gas car there as well. Is your TDi sluggish and has it lost its pep? Or do you want more power and want to go faster? In either situation, I'm sure the staff at this shop will have the answers to help you a choose a sustainable relationship with your car, the environment, and the economy. If you are a woman and are scared of getting ripped off- please go see Dan. This is one of the most female friendly shops I know of. Pros: U.S. produced biodiesel, top notch automotive repair, female friendly more
