Excellent service and time with actual doctors! 12/10/2009

I must say I recommend this clinic. I had a sore neck for the past several months... nothing major but an annoyance. I brought it up to my local doctor (actually the nurse since that's about all I ever see there), and they gave me meds and sent me on my way. after a few weeks it was clear the medicine was only dulling the pain, so I asked around work. A co-worker recommended Diagnostic Clinic from her experience there with a stomach problem. I called up and made an appointment with Dr. Paily (sp?) for the next day. I must say the experience was totally new to me... I saw the actual Doctor for nearly 30 minutes... actually more time than I saw the nurse! 3 weeks later I can truly say my neck is getting better. I am thankful I did not see the prior post as it may have keep me from going to see a great doctor. I am even considering having them provide my primary physician... just not sure I want to drive that far each time (I live in Conroe). BTW, I had no problem with the billing (Cigna insurance). Pros: Actually Spend Time with a REAL Doctor Cons: Sort of Far more

All the best doctors are gone! It is not what it used to be! Billing is all messed up! 1/6/2008

I do not recommend the Diagnostic Clinic of Houston. I used to be a patient but not anymore. The doctors I used to see have all left. Two years after I received a procedure and paid my portion of my bill, I then received a bill for over $600. I have tried to call about this but they just tell me I owe it. They billed the wrong insurance, a plan that I didn't have anymore and not my current insurance! It is too late for them to refile to the proper insurance since the bill is so old, so now they just keep sending me a bill and asking me to pay. They also send me these letters that are written terribly with all sorts of errors that advertise different procedures they do and ask me to make an appointment. They must not have anyone to proofread them. So they still want me as a patient yet at the same time they want me to pay a bill that they originally did not file correctly to the proper insurance plan. more

Dr. Colman is the best doctor around 11/15/2007

Okay, I have never had an EGD in my life and wasn't real sure what to expect. I think I was more nervous about this procedure than I have ever been about any procedure or surgery that I have faced. First let me tell you that the office Dr. Colman uses to perform the scope is EXCELLENT. The staff is so helpful and friendly. I also didn't have to wait long to be taken back and once I got back there, I only waited about 10 minutes. Once the nurse came to wheel me back to the room where the procedure is done I was met a SUPER NICE man. He did introduce himself as the doctor but I think my nerves superceded my conciousness. After I got situated for the procedure the nurse said she was going to put something in my IV that would make me sleep. I must say that anesthesia makes me a little aggressive and I say things that I don't mean or they come out rude. I asked the nurse (after the medicine had been injected) when we were going to get started with the procedure and I heard this man say, ""well, if that lazy doctor ever gets it here we can get rolling"" and I asked rather rudely, ""can't someone go and find him?"" That is when Dr. Colman said ""I am the doctor and I think we should get started right now."" He thought it was funny and wasn't offended at all...which is good b/c I'm always afraid that I will offend someone. After the procedure, he came out and talked to me and asked if I had any questions. I didn't so he let me go. His office called the next day to check on me...Dr. Colman exudes awesome bedside manner. I would feel confident with any procedure he performed. Also, I can't write this without mentioning Erica his nurse. She has been so helpful with all of the crazy questions I had. She is good to follow up if she says she is going to call you back, believe her. Dr. Colman and Erica make a great team and I would recommend him to anyone that needed a gastroenterologist. Pros: He was great Cons: None, I had a great experience. more
