And I've tried all the gems...Albano's, Mulberry Street, Damiano's, North End, D'Amore's...They're all great in their own right, but none can compare to this unassuming pizza joint dwarfed by a 24-hour McDonald's. From the outside and inside, it looks as if nothing has changed since this place opened, and it's just plain awesome. I've had the pizza, salad and subs here. My recommendation would be to skip the subs, the salad was definitely competent, but the pizza is the real draw here. I'm from Boston and this place really reminds me of the little mom-and-pop pizza restaurants you find in the suburbs. Whenever anyone tries to tell me ""there's no good pizza in L.A."" I ask them if they've ever had Di Vita's. When they say no, I tell them they haven't been looking hard enough.
Pros: Hands down, best pizza
Cons: Don't bother with the subs
